AMS should've refunded folks their money instead of a credit. I don't agree with that.
Agreed, it might not be an affordable option for some to go somewhere else.AMS should've refunded folks their money instead of a credit. I don't agree with that.
Good thing the timing is off by 2 weeks. Imagine if I'd flown up to Fontana to have my ticket cancelled.
Well, well, well...left bright and early this morning for Atlanta got 6 hours into my roadtrip and my son calls to tell me what is happening. Made a u-turn. Looks like I am out $150 for gas and one night hotel that I couldn't cancel. On the bright side I would have spent about $700, so I guess NASCAR saved me $550.Well this just flat out sucks. Now comes the pain of getting my money back from the hotel I booked.
Its gonna be an interesting weekend, I wonder if this extends to the TV side.
Have you tried contacting the hotel?Well, well, well...left bright and early this morning for Atlanta got 6 hours into my roadtrip and my son calls to tell me what is happening. Made a u-turn. And geesh, I live only two hours from Homestead.
No...it said 24 hour advance notice and I only found out about 4 hours before check in. It was just for tonight. I could cancel the Atlanta hotel with no problem.Have you tried contacting the hotel?
Yes the pit reporters, just wondering if they are included too and not allowed to interview drivers, I guess we will find out tomorrow during partice .Pit road reporters?
Apparently not.Jamie Little tweeted she was going to Atlanta. I doubt she is going there to sit on her hands but will be in the pits doing her thing as usual,
You mean people who bought tickets from other people or ticket resellers, who aren’t on the track’s records? I assume they are SOL.What about current ticket holders?
^^^
Apparently not.
It's never too late to do the right thing.Leave it to nascar to announce their running yesterday, then wait for all the teams and tv people to come to the track to then promptly turn around and cancel. This is why nobody likes this sport and why nobody respects the decision makers.
Our society is quickly morphing into one of ME! ME! ME! Absolutely no regard for anyone else. MY MONEY!It's never too late to do the right thing.
Thanks for the heads up.On the bright side last year's race is currently on FS1

Or you know a fluid situation with constantly changing variables. But sure just bash NASCAR cause you have nothing better to do then beat a dead horse all the time.Leave it to nascar to announce their running yesterday, then wait for all the teams and tv people to come to the track to then promptly turn around and cancel. This is why nobody likes this sport and why nobody respects the decision makers.
might be a good discussion topic along with will they reschedule and when could that be.Post poned until when?

Stray thought: some tracks with two races will wind up with double header weekends a la Pocono.might be a good discussion topic along with will they reschedule and when could that be.
Might be possible if the pits were large enough to run all three series in one dayStray thought: some tracks with two races will wind up with double header weekends a la Pocono.
