I was a little bummed this year because I would always get a PM from Johali right before the Daytona 500 asking if I would be doing this thread each year. Well my friend, indeed I am.
Same conditions as last year, I'll only be tracking Cup and Xfinity (the Truck Rate the Race threads usually have too few responses to get a good average), and only points paying events. The highest and lowest rating each week will be dropped.
Rating that will not count toward the average:
- Ratings for only part of a race (i.e. "I only saw the last 10 laps, but I give it a 7)
- Overly complicated ratings (i.e. "I give the first 40 laps a 7.5, the second 40 laps a 10, the next 50 laps an 8.3 and the last 70 laps a 5")
- Ratings for winners or TV coverage
- Ratings below 1 or above 10 will count, but they'll be counted as a 1 or a 10.
- Over-extended decimal ratings (i.e. "I give it a 7.422387263451) will only be carried out two decimal places.
I will usually post the ratings three days after that week's Cup race, so typically on Wednesday
Cup:
1. Daytona (2/16-2/17): 6.63
Xfinity:
1. Daytona (2/15): 7.19
