IndyCar had up to 28 cars this year, I'd say there's a good chance.

I’m not sure they really want that with pit lane limitations (longer pit boxes, shorter lanes mostly) at many tracks. If there are 25-27 full-timers they might work with any part-timers to sign up at different races so they don’t run out of space. Quite possible at a place like Road America though.

If RLL can get Harvey and Lundgaard to race as well as Graham and Graham to qualify as well as them they’ll be really good next year.

Kinda wish Vasser Sullivan would partner with one of them. Hard to succeed without some sort of alliance or partnership so this would make sense.

I think Vasser-Sullivan is comfortable with Coyne, its just they need to find some type of synergy driver wise. It would be nice if VS would keep a driver for more than a year or two.

From the way things have been written so far I think Sato is getting the RWR-partnered car and Malukas would be an HMD-partnered car so I don’t really know where that leaves the VS guys. I don’t believe Dale wants to run three cars. That leaves probably Foyt, Juncos, and Carlin that could use a partner. I know they said they want to go their own way in a year or two but that still leaves a gap to bridge with another team for now.
 
It appears Kirkwood was only going to backfill the #26 if the Andretti-Sauber-Herta deal all materialized. I think a part-time deal with them is likely if he can’t find anything else, but there aren’t many options left. RACER reporting from yesterday said he had negotiations with AMSP fall through and he’s maybe in the frame with Foyt, but eeeesh. Maybe if he and Vasser-Sullivan go to Foyt together that wouldn’t be so bad? Big risk to take, still.

Malukas is 99.5% of the way there with Coyne - his words. HMD Trucking is a successful business, based in the Chicago area like Coyne, and they will have enough to run another four or five Lights cars in conjunction with GMG again next year too.

Ugh. It’s the perfect low speed safe alternative Montreal like track to MIS. Stupid.
 
Worst case scenario they move it back to Belle Isle after a few years. Much better track out there for sure, and I don’t think downtown will go gangbusters like Nashville did. I’d love to be wrong though.

I think he’s better than Veach but comes in at a tougher time. If he can do any better maybe it’ll be a success. That or after a few years maybe Michael can cut him loose and keep his sponsors as with Gainbridge, lol.

6th among nine full-time drivers in Indy Lights last year. Probably not an upgrade over Hinchcliffe.

Best case scenario they move it to MIS in 2024. I'd prefer to have St.Petersburg, Long Beach and Toronto as the only street courses in IndyCar.

It has been on Sky F1 in the UK for years which is good because there are a lot of livestreams available.
I guess it's gonna be better than what they have now. Sport 1 held IndyCar rights from 2013 to 2018 (I believe) and aired races with original commentary on their completely unknown pay-TV channel Sport 1 US. One race, Pocono 2017, was shown on free-TV. DAZN had IndyCar rights in 2019/20 before they returned to Sport 1 for a year where IndyCar was once again shown on some obscure pay-TV channel.
F1 has averaged around 700,000 viewers on Sky in Germany, I guess some of them will also give IndyCar a chance. Hülkenberg would have helped.

If IndyCar/NASCAR wanted to get some exposure they would need a free-TV deal like NFL.
 
I will be full blown ignorant towards the Nashville Street Race and will watch the rerun tonight, but I am not overly impressed with RP’s schedules. Gotta cut costs, but he loves the IMS Road course too much.

Nashville Street —> move it to Nashville SS
Detroit Street —> Belle Isle or MIS “US 500”
+ Las Vegas or Denver Street Race
+ Richmond or New Hampshire oval race

Boom.

I’ve wanted IndyCar to inch back towards a 20 race schedule a couple more safe ovals to balance out the schedule.

No sponsor or partner mentions in the release. Will be interesting to see if ROKiT stays or someone like Vasser-Sullivan comes over in the next few weeks. Big rookie class next season, at least five full-time drivers.

Does it come with an engine?

In all seriousness, De Vries might be a long-term answer next season for MSR, depending on Helio's performance over a full season will be key. Helio is 46 and Simon is 37, so we shall see what occurs here.

Vandoorne would be fantastic in IndyCar or IMSA, such a quick driver still and I feel has a lot to prove.
 
I think Miles Rowe is out of his USF2000 seat, he's got a GoFundMe for next season.

I have a feeling Ernie Francis Jr will be taking his place, kind of crazy to drop the young man after a promising first season.

Makes me wonder what their expectations were after he was out of racing for a couple of years. He won a race and it was always going to take time to get up to speed. Maybe Ernie was just too good of an opportunity to pass up, but hope they help Myles find another seat.

Marshall Pruett talked about it and he was pretty disappointed about this. Supposedly, they are helping him attain another seat.

However, between this and Peretta going silent. This isn't a good look for Penske, it probably has more to do with him taking over Indy Lights as well. More money has to go out the door in terms of payments and what not.

My thing about diversity programs is either start it and stick with it or don't do it at all, at least IMHO.
