Spotters' Guide! Thank you, sir!

From the link:
The guide features 47 entries for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and 49 entries IMSA Michelin Pilot SportsCar Challenge. This one took a long time to complete!
From a fan's standpoint, this is a good problem to have.

If I'm correct, it's not a big deal. This race doesn't need them, it attracts plenty of great drivers from multiple series around the world. If anything, some fans of other series may think having no Cup-level drivers in this race reflects poorly on NASCAR. Or not...

The race doesn't need them, but I find it nice to see Cup drivers crossing over to do that race. I always look for them.

there are Nascar drivers, not cup though. Custer, Majeski, Cendric, Briscoe and A.J. said he will take a turn or so at the wheel and announce. I know I will be trying to follow that bunch.
Another couple of beauts. Will be Custer/Majeski/Scott Maxwell in the #15 on Friday with Cindric/Briscoe/Billy Johnson in the #22.

Yep. That's why I was careful to specify Cup and 24-Hour, although I should have mentioned the others. Thanks for catching me.

wasn't trying, I'm excited personally I want that bunch of younger guys to get saltier. Billy Johnson isn't Nascar but he is pretty good, I don't know Maxwell, FL probably does, he's the expert IMSA guy.

Ok, I didn't look for them. I like to see how the Nascar drivers handle the cars, especially if it rains.

I would put money on Jimmie Johnson doing the 24 again eventually - maybe as soon as next year. The series has come a long way and gotten a lot more specialized from the Grand-Am days, as well as more NASCAR drivers (outside of a small handful) also staying strictly in NASCAR - not necessarily because of their own choice in some cases. Ultimately on both ends it's a lot harder to make things work well enough to complete a deal.

That said, yeah, Cindric and Allmendinger are both doing the 24 and the Ford young guns and Kaz Grala are all racing on Friday.

I expect Kurt Busch will take a run, now that he's with Ganassi, along with an I500 shot eventually.

One reason is that bumpin' and bangin' is discouraged and will get you penalized. Very few of these teams have more than one car, budgets are smaller, and turnarounds for repairs can be lengthy and expensive.
