IMO the RTA is the biggest thing standing in the way of fixing this car. Everytime nascar comes up with a solution the RTA rejects it because of costs.
The RTA and Nascar have an agreement that modifications during the season Can be denied if they are out of budget, or are too complicated to bring into production. In those cases the changes, if approved, can be performed between the seasons. That's more than fair.

They didn't make any changes between seasons either. I wonder why.

Goodyear made a number of tire construction and compound changes in 2024. Most of them paid off.

At this point in the evolution of the Nextgen car, that’s where the most potential gains are to be found.
 
Bring these back, or a similar modified modern version of today’s pretend stock cars. They never took off in flight to my recollection:

Hell, a couple of tweaks to todays car, maybe a big wing and some thrusters, and we could have The Jetsons version of Nascar, a real "Car Of Tomorrow".
