I am personally hoping Brian Vickers can get the ride, If he can keep his blood clots under control I still think he could contend for wins and if he subs in for Almirola he can show off his talent and hopefully get a full time ride in 2018 (Again if his blood clots are under control)

I don't think anyone in the garage thinks Vickers is not deserving of a fill time ride. I think dozens of owners would hire him and sponsors if he didn't have health issues. I think it boils down to health problems.

Almirola is a good fit for it. They had a lot of bad luck last year. This year they were getting back to their usual high back half finishes.

But, again, no. Top drawer Ford drivers wouldn't do much better in it 'n Ford has some top drawer drivers in its camp these days.

Buescher did kinda run him over for one of those wins at Dover a couple years ago. Depending on how you look at it.

Me too. Everytime someone said JRM could move up to Cup. It is not possible.
 
Miller will move up to cup when the money's right.

She has a delicate balance to work with. When the time is right JRM will have a cup entry. Maybe not an instant winner but it'll be successful.

I'm confident she knows what she's doin'.

They can do that now that Junior will no longer be running in Cup for a different company.
 
We'll have to wait to see what happens with the Hendrick connection after he's out.

For me, I'd like to see Kelley become the next be all/end all owner. I think she can.

Almirola has 3 finishes outside the top 20. One was Kansas. They weren't running that bad.

I just can't wait till we have a full season with no injuries I think it's been at least three to five to seven years but we've had a full-time driver get hurt or have medical issues.

Now almirola

All Miss time for one reason or another
 
Surprised they are waiting that long. Surely it will get out before then who it's going to be. I wonder if they are going to pass on trying to get that car into the AS race?

Gosh I wouldn't expect them to pass....the car is built, the money is spent ,the crew is still part of the team and deserve a shot. Etc.

You would think. Showing up the day of practice/qualifying and saying "Here's our driver!" seems pretty late in the game though. To me anyways.

But whoever the driver is...they already know it, the team knows, the seat is being fitted I'm sure. It's a veteran they will be able to hop in the car and go fast.
 
Moody just said there's talk that we might find out shortly (today) who it's going to be.

Brian will do a waiver for anything.
 
I'm fine with Regan for the All Star Open. Pretty sure they got someone else lined up for after or they wouldn't really have a Presser for Friday. Could be wrong but we'll see.

Let's hope so. Nothing against Regan but it's not interesting seeing the same guy being passed around the garage. I liked seeing JGR put Jones in their cars back a couple of years ago.
