But it narrows from the dogleg/quad-oval, right?12 ft wider than Daytona
We think alike here, looks sharp.I thought the same thing, much better visibility than yellow. Besides it's purdy
As far as it looks like, it might not be my cup of tea. But I sure as hell am gonna tune in tomorrow. The only thing for sure about this race? Is nothing is for sure…all bets are off. They've turned Atlanta into a weird restrictor plate race.
I'm with a few others. Not looking forward to this one.

Probably but they have bail out areaBut it narrows from the dogleg/quad-oval, right?
Did you watch the old daytona races before the out of bounds line? Yeah it's self policing after you wreck half the field

They used to do it all the time
Seems like when they tightened up the track that tightened up the racing. The cars have to be able to handle and be able to run anywhere on the track instead of being a one laner. It's the radius that makes it seem so much more narrow

yet some are complaining already.I've seen more racing instead of riding around single file at Atlanta in the practice than I have seen in years of watching Atlanta races lol.
I think the engine package tightened up the racing more than changing the track.Seems like when they tightened up the track that tightened up the racing. The cars have to be able to handle and be able to run anywhere on the track instead of being a one laner.
eh, normal. it's the only way they can keep their blathering mouths goingyet some are complaining already.
Let's see what they get tomorrow.Frigging Atlanta fans are disappointing. You could put strippers up and down the isles and you probably still couldnt get a decent crowd.
I will but I'm not optimistic.Let's see what they get tomorrow.
How does the crowd size effect your viewing of the race from home?I will but I'm not optimistic.
is Jeff Gluck a death bedder? What are Jeff’s thoughts on the color of the new out of bounds line?
Well, if it's "different" shouldn't it have different rules? This is one of my absolute favorite threads in RF’s.com. I never thought I’d make it long enough here to see the color of a line bitched about.

It doesnt. My comment is more about the local economy and people who work at the track, vendors etc... They spent a boatload of money and you would think the community would come out to support it. On the other hand, how does my comment effect your viewing the race at home? How does the crowd size effect your viewing of the race from home?

Its interesting in almost the entire upper section they removed every other row of seats to provide a drink counter they also widened the seats. Capacity might be 25% of what it was 20 years ago...but it's nice!Let's see what they get tomorrow.
I’m lost hereWell, if it's "different" shouldn't it have different rules?
Sorry, I was talking about the yellow line rulesI’m lost here
The line rules are the same here as at Daytona and Dega. The only thing that is different is the color of the lineSorry, I was talking about the yellow line rules
rightThe line rules are the same here as at Daytona and Dega. The only thing that is different is the color of the line
I assumed that’s what it was unless I read something wrong. I could be a giving misinformationright
Build it and they will come.....Frigging Atlanta fans are disappointing. You could put strippers up and down the isles and you probably still couldnt get a decent crowd.
Or maybe they heard the goal was to replicate the superspeedways, and they're more discerning than the FL / AL fans. Nothing I saw in the truck race makes me want to go on line and see if there are seats available.Frigging Atlanta fans are disappointing.
The strippers!?Build it and they will come.....
I doubt very seriously people are not showing up because it was gonna be a "plate race".Or maybe they heard the goal was to replicate the superspeedways, and they're more discerning than the FL / AL fans. Well, combine that with the absent strippers...I doubt very seriously people are not showing up because it was gonna be a "plate race".
