Atlanta Folds of Honor QuickTrip 400

Your left side tires cannot go under the double yellow at anytime unless you are forced down. Nobody really knows how its gonna race but I expect to have side by side runs for several laps then the pack will separate itself. Fire away!

That gets to the root of my question, for what purpose was this line created? If it's for safety concerns of not being sure how the track will race, drawing a hard line on track creates more issues than it solves as far as getting people wrecked from the inside up, and now creates more judgement calls for NASCAR to have to officiate which no one wants, in my humble opinion.

Regardless, my interest is piqued how this will race out

The first hint would be they are using super speedway rules. They have stripes. Which no one wants is not true.

This is one of my absolute favorite threads in RF’s.com. I never thought I’d make it long enough here to see the color of a line bitched about.
It was a win win situation. If they went 6 wide and wrecked the whole field they would be raising hell because there wasn't the line

Put the line so it goes from the S/F line, through 1 and 2, and ends halfway down the back stretch. Stay above it in those areas. Do what you want in 3 and 4; they're going to on the last lap anyway.

The absolute main reason is someone running down the straight

seems i forgot to add the rest of my post, After running the straight below the line they get hung down low and cant make the corner then boom, Chaos

What fluid did that truck drop they've been cleaning up since I turned the TV on like 40 minutes ago

Josh Berry came about as close to pounding the wall as you could

I don't know but I sure hope they figure out how to speed that process up for the races.

On DBC they were really concerned (Allgaier was on as guest) about cars getting massive runs but having nowhere to go bc track isn't wide enough. This is the first next gen race I've been very pessimistic about going in.
Seen a decent amount of this in just a few minutes of Cup practice. Honestly looks weird seeing how it narrows so much into the turns.

Looks like cup cars are about a second fastest than Xfinity?

This so far to me looks like a mix of 80’s Daytona without the restrictor plates because cars can pass/slingshot, Talladega because there is some pack racing component to this as well as closing up on a car real fast and older Atlanta where it looks like they may be able to pass in multiple grooves in traffic.

Well I guess 3 wide is possible for a little bit

They are gonna wreck so many cars if someone has a problem in the corner there is nowhere to go

it all seems self regulating to me with the banking, I would expect that to be common sense as a driver if you get stuck down that low on the straight going into the corner you're not going to make it on angle on entry.

The color of that out of bounds line looks pretty bright to me

Did you watch the old daytona races before the out of bounds line? Yeah it's self policing after you wreck half the field

They used to do it all the time
