Atlanta RACE thread

For once Jimmie has been mentioned only once tonight.

Does he even care?

So here is the plan:
Harv's pit crew is going to mess up somehow and then compound on with the lack of grip will make the situation worse.

I don't mind the existence of 1.5 mile tracks. But they should NOT be as prevalent as they are on our schedule. It's a challenge for drivers and teams, no doubt. But I'd love it if they put the old configuration back in at Atlanta.

I love watching the races but does anyone else keep looking at the tv wondering when the hell it's going to be over?

As a Gordon fan, I wish it was about 2 or 300 miles longer..

This is the worst race of the year. No wonder Atlanta is getting phased out of the schedule

Not me. I'm happy to be watching the race live. Been busy the past couple of days, I wasn't sure I was going to get to see the race today. Plus tomorrow is a holiday, so it's time to relax for me.

Harvick is dominating. That tends to make things a bit boring. The only real racing excitement has been brought to us via the Gibbs turbo guns.

Here's my thought on "bad races."

When you care about a driver/team and nothing else. The race is only bad if they're doing poorly. There have been bad races at every level/type of racing over the last 100 years but if you are invested in a team/driver, you are interested regardless of the level of action.

I just don't think people are as connected to drivers as they were a decade ago.

patrick seems to have a short run car. Put it on the floor and dont lift. You can do it!

I like Harvick. It's a good thing if he wins tonight being a SHR driver. Regardless, the racing at Atlanta this weekend has been awful.

And....there's always Golf if this is too boring.
The difference is, there isn't any "good golf" to watch. :)

The next time Alan Gustafson makes a gutsy call in the pits will be the first....
