Atlanta RACE thread

Gordon is not going to get a lap back as long as he keeps pitting under caution instead of taking the wave around.

Wouldn't help. When he pits for tires, he'll lose that lap anyway. They needed to get off sequence and pray for lucky yellows.

It's about time for Harvick to have some bad luck. Like hitting a squirrel or something.

The next time Alan Gustafson makes a gutsy call in the pits will be the first....
It's one of those bonehead Alan nights. He brings great cars to the track but ****s the bed when he feels pressure.

Us fans can see what it takes to make up time and track position, but he is oblivious.

Well his strategy hasnt worked for the past 300 miles. Try something ****** different

Fastest car on the track can't make up 2 laps.

Grow some balls alan.

If we had real restarts like 10 years ago we could have RACED back onto the lead lap...

Late pit strategy is going to make this interesting. Tires mean a lot but track position means more. Who risks what, who doesn't.

But to "race back" you'd need the old spec packages. No front splitters, low or adjustable spoilers. Less downforce to make drivers matter.

That doesn't make a difference, I'm saying instead of restarting 23rd on the track two laps down, he would have been restarting 5th on the racetrack with the cars 1 lap down directly in front of him... For example.

We could legit take a wave around here........

Could be a fun finish if Harv has to go through the field for the final stint on fresh tires.
