BS on Dave not being the right fit for Kyle. There is smoke blown up everybody's rears about how talented Kyle is thus implying that if he hasn't won the Cup, somebody's head must roll. Yes, Kyle is talented, but that doesn't entitle him to the Cup. Dave is just fine. Kyle is the same talented as hell dude he has always been. I am also calling BS on "new Kyle" stuff. That is the media. Kyle is the same as he has always been, and for that, I am glad. My point....Kyle has the right CC, the right team, the right manufacturer, and with some racing luck, will win this damn thing.

I dont believe they are a magical team Rev. Maybe if Kyle and Dave work it out but not now. IMO

Kyle has had a tendency to curse out those trying to help him.

Remember the loose front end part during the chase? Remember the piece of wrapper left on the air filter during the chase?

Kyle needs to learn how to motivate people instead of alienating them.

Agreed, but I don't think they are dysfunctional either. I think they are good off the truck. Good during practice and qualifying. Good in the early segments of races. Strategy isn't bad. They finish pretty well. The mid portion of the race is where they get into trouble. I think that Kyle has too much say. He talks to Dave about packers, springs, etc. Drive the damn car, and let Dave manage everything else.

Don't remember any of that in the Chase honestly. Refresh my memory.
Kyle does motivate his team. They know that in terms of raw speed, he is the fastest driver in the field. They freakin' know that if they get it right, they will be in the hunt every damn week. He could pull some BS Tony Robbins deal on them, or lead with his foot. I like the latter every freakin' time.

2 crew chiefs isnt working, thanfully Dave doesnt tell Kyle how to drive
 
I honestly believe that the Kyle/Dave pairing is one of the best in the sport. I can tell you this....if Kyle didn't have faith in him, he would be gone. Given that Dave is still there, that says a ton. Kyle is smart. Very smart. He is trusted and respected within JGR and TRD even when his mouth would have you convinced that this couldn't possibly be the case. Looking for a huge year.

Yeah, I laughed my ass off. You would have thought that that would send Kyle through the roof. All he said was, "That doesn't work for me, Dave." After the Richmond debacle, Dave is not intimidated by Kyle. I think that Dave figures if he could make it through that, he can make it through anything. I thought he was gone.
 
Continuing the discussion.....I like the Dillon/Gil Martin pairing a lot. I only root for Toyotas, so I am being serious here. Conversely, none of the SHR pairings even come close to making any sense to me.

Then why haven't they even come close to winning a title?

A driver with Kyle's ability in Gibbs equipment should be competing for a title more often than not. He's got more talent than Kenseth, but the 20 team was clearly the superior Gibbs team last year.

Good point. I remember a few accidents where Kyle determined the car was finished and they should hit the garage. I have a feeling Kyle changes his line quite a bit at times and that upsets the finely tuned suspension.
