I vote Montoya for this alone. Regardless of parts failure ... you don't go full throttle towards safety equipment. I don't care how much track you need to catch up.
Seriously, people hate Montoya to a point that they try to rationalize how this was his failure. First, guys have vibrations they don't like in their cars all the time. He came into the pits, they said they didn't anything, and he went again. And he damn sure couldn't just tool around at 30 MPH and wait for the field to come around to him. And he was going nowhere near full throttle, he probably doing 80 to 100 MPH, which is completely within reason. This was nothing but a completely freak accident that was caused by part failure and poor timing.
