I agree the changes are making the racing better.
It sounded like Harvick said the pack can run faster then 2 cars. Anyone else catch that ?
 
OK, Ok, ok...since we're at the break I'll tell a story on my daughter and me that relates to DW.

Once I was watching a plate race and a car got out in front of the pack due to a big bump from behind. Of course the lead didn't last long and DW said "lookout, here comes the wad". I understood fully what he meant - a wad of cars were overtaking the leader who had no drafting partner.

So - one day we were going down to Macon GA to watch my son in the Little League playoffs and my wife was driving, me riding shotgun, and my daughter in the back seat. We were coming out of a parking lot in heavy traffic and there was a gap. I was hoping my wife would go - but I also wanted to warn her since there were a lot of cars coming after the small gap. I said "here comes the wad".

My daughter exploded into laughter :rolleyes:. Since I knew she wasn't a racing fan I quickly figured out the context of her thoughts. Anyway, she was engaged at the time and is now married to the same guy so I can't hold it against her.

Watch out for the wad!

The over-under for damaged racecars during this event is 12.5 - exactly half the field.

We are already up to 6, I think...
 
May as well go 4 tires and fuel at this point IMHO...no way this baby goes green all the way and you can go back to front in 5 laps.
 
Great explanation by Mikey of what Truex was thinkin right there. Now that's good television . It's like he knew that Truex didn't mean to hit him.

When has a Nascar race been good from start to finish? It is pretty much an endurance event to set yourself up for the last 30 or so laps. At least we have racing this year and not the 2x2 square dancing we had last year.

So it looks to me like you have to push from behind on the right - so you keep from turning your partner and you get a little more air.
