I thought JJ said he was doing road courses only in Indy Car and would also be open to running a partial schedule in Cup. Maybe he’s running a handful of Cup races for CGR. But like someone said above, probably just a sponsor announcement

That seems fairly common with these type of announcements. They never seem to live up to the hype. Think back to some of the Roush sponsor announcements etc.
