I love short track racing (Taylor's Version)
I’m going with NASCAR for many reasons.
I agree he gets bonehead, but suspended? nah. They didn't do it to Carson last week. a fine and lost of points will be what he gets and should get.Actually gotta add in Bubba now. He better get suspended for that.
NASCAR takes history into consideration. Bubba has too many incidents, and social media will be awful. We know NASCAR reacts to social media too.I agree he gets bonehead, but suspended? nah. They didn't do it to Carson last week. a fine and lost of points will be what he gets and should get.
What Briscoe did was because of NASCAR bonehead mistake. If he’s a bonehead for it, then everyone who crashed because of the wet track is one. What Bubba did was his own doing tho, yeahChase Briscoe or Bubba for sure.
The wets are a better tire than they gave it credit for. Hamlin with at least two trips into the tires and Bubba I'd add to the list also. Bubba with a Bowman Gray move on national TV is a bad look for the sport when all eyes were on Bowman. All the frontrunners (20, 54, 13, etc.) who sold by panicking and pitting for slicks before the stage break.

If Bell doesn’t get crashed he probably winsI still can't move past the decision for Bell and Reddick to pit
I didn't like the call, but it wasn't a horrid call....was close at the end....one yellow away from a great call.I still can't move past the decision for Bell and Reddick to pit
That made the race move up a notch. Ya didn't know if it was going to work out or not. Great entertainment. Bell was coming until he got caught up and then here came Reddick.I didn't like the call, but it wasn't a horrid call....was close at the end....one yellow away from a great call.
Yeah they should have known months in advance that rain was going to delay the start of the race.NASCAR for starting a summer race in Chicago at 5:00 p.m. on a track that can't be raced on after sunset.
No, but only an idiot doesn't realize it's a possibility and does absolutely nothing to take it into consideration. What happens if the race is a total washout well short of half way? Are you going to tie up downtown Chicago for another day? If ANY race on the schedule warrants an early start, it's THIS one. Sadly, an exciting finish only means that NBC and NASCAR will feel justified for their shortsightedness. It takes an off the charts disaster for that bunch to learn anything.Yeah they should have known months in advance that rain was going to delay the start of the race.
There were scheduled events all day starting at 9:00 Sunday when the gates opened. Keith Urban along with other groups played Sunday along with Monster FMX, Food and drink vendors for the crowds along with the race. Many things at play besides a race. The City and Nascar made out like bandits. No, but only an idiot doesn't realize it's a possibility and does absolutely nothing to take it into consideration. Was ANY of that more important than getting the race in? Sounds like a case of misplaced priorities. There were scheduled events all day starting at 9:00 Sunday when the gates opened. I actually don't have an issue with this. They wanted to run the Indy race up to the cup race. No one can control the rain.NBC start time and NASCAR that keeps allowing this because the checks cash. Bubba Wallace a close close second
Freaking unreal. It was a complete failure....until the very end....and Reddick was unstoppable.....until he stopped himself. It was a great call--even though I didn't like it at the time....good thing I am not a crew chief. That made the race move up a notch. Ya didn't know if it was going to work out or not. You weren't aware that TV (NBC) had the Indy race on BEFORE the Nascar race? Speaking of misplaced priorities. Once again, they just didn't come up with this a week ago.Was ANY of that more important than getting the race in? Sounds like a case of misplaced priorities.
That’s very apparent with how many weather related issues these races have run into. No one is saying they can control the weather here however extending your window for error with earlier start times can be.I actually don't have an issue with this. Then they run it early and people complain about that. This was an event that happened to have a race at it and they needed to get the concerts in before the race because no one is going to attend a concert at 6pm on a Sunday. That’s very apparent with how many weather related issues these races have run into. And what time did NBC demand the Indycar race start, and which series is more important and draws more viewers? The TV networks are thick headed, they consistently fail to understand the realities of auto racing, they learned absolutely NOTHING from last year, and NASCAR is just as dumb because they have created an environment where clueless idiots get to make the decisions just because they write big checks. At some point SOMEBODY needs to act like an adult and say. "This really doesn't make any sense to do it this way", but we all know that's NOT going to happen. You weren't aware that TV (NBC) had the Indy race on BEFORE the Nascar race? I guess those concerts aren't all that important then, are they? Then they run it early and people complain about that. This was an event that happened to have a race at it and they needed to get the concerts in before the race because no one is going to attend a concert at 6pm on a Sunday.
To them yes. Like I said this was an event that happened to have a race. A lot of those people don't show up if its just the raceI guess those concerts aren't all that important then, are they?
The concept of a city "happening" is lost on some.To them yes. Like I said this was an event that happened to have a race. A lot of those people don't show up if its just the race
Blah blah blah. on and on. Change the subject, blame whoever, rinse and repeat. And what time did NBC demand the Indycar race start, and which series is more important and draws more viewers? But they won't stay for the concerts??????? Look, I'm all for this total entertainment weekend, it probably needs to happen a lot more and to a greater extent than it does, but let's not forget the ONE reason the event is happening at all, and the LEAST flexible in terms of timing and logistics. To them yes. Like I said this was an event that happened to have a race. A lot of those people don't show up if its just the race
