Chicagoland Pre Race Thread

What a mess. NASCAR's lack of comment on the Penske-FRM situation has to be worrying for some. If not for Bowyer's itchy arm...

I'm busy this weekend, I'll probably record the races but I usually don't watch recorded sports events, it's just not the same when you've already seen the results.

Damn, so far Carl's Ford is holding up, Stenhouse fastest in practice. where there is smoke there is fire. Looks like the Fords are finally up to speed.

Not about where ya start, its where ya finish.

atta' boy to AJ for starting in the top 15. Squeezing that rag dry.

Joey's got a shot no doubt but I feel like tomorrow's practices will be a good gauge on things with everyone pretty much in race trim. Ford found their speed these last few months..

Yeah they have. I started getting a good feeling when I saw Joey was 38th in practice then ran a 6th place q run and ran more laps than anyone. Then the pole just made me more confident. I know part of it was the late draw but Montoya was dead last out and ran faster than he did in practice. Just have a good feeling is all. Imagine the stories lol and all the hate that would be thrown around if he went out and won after all that... I think people are gona hate that he even got the pole lol

I don't really get the hate.. the Gilliand thing is overblown and Logano didn't ask MWR to do anything on his behalf.

I think people will just be pissed cause you won't shut up about it if he does win.

lol

Yeah I could see that... lol after all .. they'd be right. :p

It means if they break another rule the penalties will be harsher I guess... what I don't get is.. weren't the Penske teams already on probation from Texas?

Then as of this moment, they're on Double Secret Probation!!!

He's making me look good.

I said he'd do twice as better than Bobby and he sure is backing me up. :D

Yes sir..heads will roll at Penske now Someday..when pigs fly. Double secret probation..that's it. no more twisted sister rear ends, or race fixing for that bunch.

I didn't think he would do this well.. he's finishing what he's starting too. It's still not a winning car but I'm surprised at the durablity considering he must be really on the wheel compared to relaxed Bobby.
