Chicagoland Pre Race Thread

BK and Joey were both 15-1 odds... then Joeys gets pole Brad get 2nd... and now Brad has 15-2 and Joey 9-1... I don't get it.. I can see the odds improving but wouldn't Joeys be more if they were the same before not Brads? lol

Stenhouse has a fast car for tomorrow. Could be his breakthrough :cheers:

He had a fast one last week too at Atlanta, on the pole. Dropped like a rock when they dropped the rag. I been waiting for him to wake up all season long. Driving with lil Danny back in the pack and barely being the fastest rookie is not going to keep your job..Can ya tell I am a bit disappointed with sticky renhouse this year???

I picked Danica to win the pole and Im still picking her to win the race.

I honestly thought that he'd be in contenton for 5 or 6 races. I realize that Biffle and Edwards are in the Chase but RFR hasn't exactly made any significant noise this year as an organization.

Eh dont know how that all works but it would make sense if they look at the top 10 fastest average speed.

That's a way to gauge how the competition stacks up for the race. That's about the only stat I look for in practice.

Brad was 8th fastest on his 10 lap average while Joey didn't even chart.

@MartySmithESPN
NASCAR announces Brian France, Mike Helton and Robin Pemberton will address the media at approximately 1p CT following The Meeting.

dp where have you been? Your extra efforts providing info have been missed. :)

Will FS1 cover this? Or will they stick this in neverland at FS2?

Yeah much better way, That odds stuff is worthless. Betting scam..those odds are how bad they screw ya if ya win..da vig..yous nose dose guys..For instance, when Joey went to 7 to one..you would think for every dollar ya bet you would win 7. not even close, by the time you get paid, you would be lucky to get 2 and a half to a buck. It is a real rip off. the reason the odds changed was because they were getting some money played on Logano (probably young bettors)

well they have to run 10 consecutive laps for that..

FS2 is to cover some of it during their 2pm broadcast.

SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will cover it live.

@MartySmithESPN
Just spoke to Martin Truex Jr, who told me NASCAR handed out a new sheet of the rulebook and that drivers/teams must run 100% all the time.

@MartySmithESPN
Truex seemed a bit confused.

@bobdillner

According to some who were in #NASCAR mtg, only spotters are now allowed on spotters stand & no digital radios are allowed there.

They should have done that when drivers started riding out the Daytona and Dega races at the back of the pack until near the end of the race.

Getting ready.

@CitizenKBA
#NASCAR tells drivers not to bring out cautions. Danica raises her hand. Helton says, "Except you." She puts hand down.

dp Got a link to where serius will broadcast it?

@NASCAR_WXMAN
If rain forces a Monday race @ChicagolndSpdwy there is still time for #NASCAR to add more drivers to the chase.

NASCAR has created a list of outlawed actions but the list can expand as time goes on.

Intentionally wrecking a competitor is on the list.

Mike Helton cites as "unacceptable" examples: offering material benefit for track position, ordering a driver to wreck or give up a spot.

Pemberton also says NASCAR is going to change some of the restart procedures...will announce in drivers meeting tomorrow.
