Chris Buescher and the Chase

He's only 6 points behind Reagan in 30th. He should be able to 25th his way into the chase. But yes, if it gets close it would benefit cassill and the team for he had some "problems" the rest of the year. Making the chase would bring money and exposure to the while organization, thus helping cassill more then staying 29th in points would

He gets in and he's eliminated after the first round. He's raced 21 of 21 races this season and is sitting 31st in points. There's a reason for that. A reason that won't be corrected by a rain shortened win. I'm glad he won and I hope that it does a lot for the organization. It would be great to have more competition out there week in and week out.

Beucher gets is most likely. I think that momentum puts him in the second round. Next year is when he really shines.

It gives us something new to watch each week and cheer the team on to make it in the top 30. It gives NBC a reason to check in with him and look at the racing in the middle to back of the field.

No disrespect meant toward the young man that won today, the other drivers and teams but what happened today is another reason I can't accept Nascar as a sport. A driver with a career starting position of 28.9 and a finish of 27.6 will participate in the chase lottery with another driver that missed several races. It would be like allowing last year's Tennessee Titans to participate in last year's post season. Ridiculous but the whole convoluted method of crowning as champ is illegitimate so this doesn't cheapen it.

^ Isn't the very definition of "lottery" a game of chance that is not based on skill? So if it is a "lottery," why complain about the skills of an entrant?

No complaints at all as I was just pointing out that an occurrence such as today was another reason it was difficult for me to see Nascar as a sport. Having CB lottery approved is similar to allowing last year's 76'ers into the NBA playoffs which would have been a knee slapper extraordinaire.

Can I assume the 76ers weren't very good last year?

Tank mode for the draft.

My NHL team went into tank mode after they traded experienced players and suffered injuries to others but still won 29 of 82 games to go worst in the league. They won the draft lottery and got a great player.

At least CB in the chase is in the rule book, unlike last year when they made "special" reparations for kyle to avoid a lawsuit for an unsafe track that broke his leg.

I need to get my puke bucket ready I think when I watch Race Hub and NASCAR America this week, I am sure they are going try and BS everyone that CB has a real chance of making it to the final four, and that he would even deserve to be a champion. On second thought, I might just skip RB/NA for the next few days.

They only good for Danielle Trotta's dresses. Today's, dress not so hawt. No need for watching Monday's edition.

Can provide Tuesday review if needed.

I think he will end up making it in, which will be great for him and his team. I doubt he finishes higher than 16th in points though.
Putting the Chase aside for a moment, just the win is great for that team and Front Row , we seen what happened with Matt not going t try and spell his last name when he finished 6th at Bristol, put him on the map for a short time.

Buescher's sponsors will get some air time in the next few races. NBC will milk this for all it's worth.

Sorry ... check your facts.

Waivers for medical absence were on the books for over a year before Busch got his. And he didn't get the first one.

Nice drama shot, though.

Congrats CB the kid has talent but I thought Stenhouse did too o_O so yeah....hopefully he will be the future of a WINNING Roush organization but we will see. Either way it was great to see him get the upset along with FRM. It's healthy for these small teams to win like this and healthy for NASCAR. congrats to Regan & TBR too. As for the Chase he's in unless he completely tanks these last 5 weeks but I see Roush & FRM maximizing efforts and resources now. or he's teammate tanks on purpose....ha

New rule will probably be win and race all 26 races if CB were to finish outside of top 30. If Nascar doesn't let him in it would seem prejudicial since rules were introduced after other seasons had started.

This. This is why I like this. I like to see racing all over the surface....
