Since there's going to at least be an attempt to play this season may as well put this up. FCS Kickoff tonight, C-USA/Sun Belt/AAC start Labor Day weekend, ACC/Big 12 the weekend of 9/12, SEC on 9/26.

I have really heard anything about it, but are the players going to be kept in a "bubble"?

I just don't see any football at all this year. I hope I'm wrong, but until kickoff, I just don't believe it.

Not really, mostly it's just taking all or almost all class online and be resigned to your apartment. It's mostly up to the players right now and depends on which schools can keep their athletes in check the best. There are some schools that have gone three weeks since camp started without any positives and then places like LSU where the most of the OL just got quarantined after testing positive or having high-risk exposure to someone who did.
 
Southern Miss and South Alabama are kicking off the FBS in Hattiesburg right now. Thought about going to the game but got off work too late for that this evening. Pretty good game so far.
 
Took a peek at the schedule, something is better than nothing till the SEC joins in. Big Ten is supposed to re-vote on playing I believe.
 
Big 12 caps off the day with a Kansas loss to Coastal Carolina to go 0-3 against the Sun Belt, and a 35-33 Texas Tech win over 40-point underdogs Houston Baptist...
 
The other day my daughter told me she had tickets to the Notre Dame game. I didn't realize she meant season tickets. I believe that's five games. Anyhow, she was one of the lucky few imo.

Also, last Friday night was our local HS transcript first game. Limited to immediate family only for attending fans they still broadcast the game via YouTube. While it was a lot for them, it was awesome to know these kids are getting to live a life again that they desire. It's been announced since last Friday that the upcoming games will be open to all masked fans. This seems to be the new mandate for all local teams in the Western PA area. Good for them and all their avid fans.

Yeah at first I was skeptical but the way HS has been able to do well as well as the NFL, makes me think we’re being a little too cautious.

Also screw these colleges, bring kids back for their tuition money but then say it’s unsafe to play football? They can take a hike

My daughter is in a graduate program at Notre Dame. She's in classes but the undergrads are not.

Notre Dame is only allowing a limited number of spectators. I don't know that's going to be increased. I'm guessing not soon. She said that they were told what time they were to arrive at the stadium to get to their seats. I guess they're trying to stagger access. No ushers. No concessions. Some security. Masks and social distance but the distance part seems to be overlooked. They kept reminding over the pa system during the game not to hurt what they've worked for. It'll be interesting to see how this all works out.

Given how the season has gone so far (more than half as many games cancelled or postponed as have been played) the lack of built-in byes, mandatory 21-day isolation for positive tests, and low positive test percentage threshold could make things tricky in a hurry for the Big Ten. The new daily testing they’ve procured should help but there’s very little margin for error.

That said, I hope it goes off as cleanly as possible.

Florida/Ole Miss with Kiffin
FSU/Miami
Bama/Mizzou
Texas/TTech

Hoping for some good ones.
 
Not really sure what to expect this season, but I don’t think we can get worse going from Matt Luke to Lane Kiffin. I hope we get our QB situation straight, it was almost comical last year watching Corral and Plumlee swap out basically every play in some games last year. Regardless, I’m just glad to see SEC football again.

Exciting Offense
 
Hell of a Saturday. Florida State is absolutely terrible. Also how about that SC/Tennessee finish? By golly how do you run into the football?!

Pitt/Lou, Miss St/LSU and Texas Tech/Texas were awesome games
