When Kyle Busch raced 9 times in the Xfinity series and his best finish was a back marking 24th in 2004

There’s some confusion here.

In 2004, KB ran his first full Xfin season in the number 5, winning 5 races. In 2003 he ran 7 races in the # 87, with two 2nd place finishes his best.

KB ran 6 races in the # 84 in the CUP series in 2004 as a rook with that back marking 24th his best effort. 😇

He redeemed himself the following year with 2 victories at the CUP level in the # 5 in his first full season.

I posted that stat from the Nascar historian. It looks like 2003 would be closer, but it still isn't completely correct but fairly close.

The Aaron Adams #80 Mustang from Atlanta Ga, was a regular at Greenville Pickens during the late 70s, and most of the 80s.
It was a lot of fun and most of the top cars at the track were built by Laughlin or Hopkins. I am not sure who built the #80 Mustang. I don't think they where ever the fastest on the stopwatch but it was smooth and easy on the tires. It made a lot of late race passes to win, even during a weekly 35 lap main.

Drivers for the 80: Johnny Allen, Lonnie Pirkle, Greg Portor and Toby Portor.
Ronnie Sanders even raced it in one of the Shrine races.

The #80 ASA camaro: Bob Strait
