Cup race at Charlotte

I for one applaud what NASCAR did with this situation. This was a safety issue. Ambrose cut a brake line. Someone cut have had hidden damage and went sailing into the wall.

Kudos to NASCAR on this one...

If they make edible underwear then they should be able to make edible hot dog wrappers. Heck, they would probably be better for us then the hot dogs.:D
Right on, her candie panties never hurt me.

Spare me, they've thrown out any notion of this being an organized traditional closed circuit race. If they're going to "reset the field", they might as well make up the field how ever they want and not waste everybody's time by making Ambrose drive laps by himself.

Name me one other race in which the whole field was red flagged except for one car.

I was being sarcastic :p I totally agree.

Well to be fair to nascar - some famous General said "no battle plan survives the first five minutes of actual combat"...they do the best they can I suppose.

They actually red flagged a race for Dale Earnhardt Sr ., and let him go around the track to get his lap back . How's that ?

i sure would like to see Kurt give Kyle a nudge out of the way . :)

I guess I forgot that NASCAR is just the France & Helton playground and they can do whatever they damn well want to the playing field.

As much as I complain about our nascar announcers - they are head-and-shoulders above the Indy announcers. They do keep you in the game. In the Indy race Cheever seemed like he was always looking to make a pre-decided on point and Goodyear seemed sleepy. They were slow at keeping fans up on mid-pack drivers who were moving up.

Our guys might be predictable - and goofy at times - but they at least bring the product.

If you haven't gotten the hint from the 87,000 commercials, Fox Sports 1 is coming.
Really!? When!?

Oh wow, people in the grandstands got hurt. I was wondering what they were talking about when they mentioned possible injuries earlier.

Nascar screwed up at Rockingham the fall race of 94 or 93. They blackflagged Dale for missing a lugnut in the pits. When he came in for the penalty he had all five intact. According to the Mrn broadcast I was listening too RCR took a Polaroid at the moment with all of them on, it was going to make Nascar look bad, and it should have.

So long story short, they red flagged and reset. It was a chaotic event.Footnote: Ward Burton won his first cup race, he was brilliant at Rockingham.

He was asking if Nascar had done it before , and they had .

Lol, DW making it sound like it's a big deal for Danica to lead a lap. It would have been, but NOT the way she did it.

I would think you are talking about Rockingham with the missing lug nut that wasn't missing. Ward Burton won that race and I believe it was his first win.
