You are talking about 2 different things. Air flows THRU the radiator, and on these cars, some exits thru vents in the hood. Some of that air goes into the throttle body. No air to throttle body, it no run. My question was trying to be nice when I asked if they run an air filter.

My job years ago at the dirt track was to clean the mud out of the screen in front of the radiator so it wouldn't overheat.

I think he was asking about induction filtering.
