Cup RACE thread --- Bristol, Rd. 2

Well it looks like he earned that one.

As much as I hate Kyle that was one of the best races of the year.

Master and protege doing battle over the last 50 laps. Entertaining, for sure! :)

This. 40 wins and only 1 championship to show for it? and that championship is tainted in my opinion due to him missing 1/3 of the season. No one should be a champion missing that many races in a season.

He's had a good career. But since 2005, Harvick, Stewart and Johnson have had better careers. All he's really done is win more races than them. While when it comes to winning, it seems disregarded Johnson has out won him by 30!

All that matters.

No doubt just needs to rack up a few more cup championships, especially ones where he completes the full season ;)

I don't think it's that outlandish to suggest a guy who has two Chase, erm, playoff race victories is a little overrated.

And six more championships

Will we be having this conversation when he hits 50?

We live in the moment. As of right now.. 40 wins and a title in 13 years is great. My comments are in regard to elevating him to a top 10 career. As of now, it's not above and beyond guys like Rusty, Bill, Stewart, etc.

40 wins is great. Getting out won by the 48 by 30 races since Kyle has been in cup shows how far off he is from "legend", at this point in his career. That's all.

So did Kyle

Best run I've seen out of Kurt Busch in a while.
I am really impressed with Jones and the way him and Busch raced each other. Jones made Kyle earn that one flat out.

As a driver no. NBC slobbering all over him is getting a little old.
What do u mean lol?? The guy has been running great and he actual wins I'm so confused right now.. the guy just swept the whole weeken smh.. I guess that don't go crazy over Dale jr right ? :lol2:

All that matters.

Just like it matters that the 48 has out won him by 30 since Kyle's been in cup? If that's all that matters, it proves Kyle is closer to Bill Elliot, Rusty Wallace, than guys like Waltrip, Cale, Gordon.. etc.

I've said this before, I love Kyle. Funniest driver in the sport. I don't like how he's been marketed
