9 didn't crap the bed, they got screwed by an untimely caution. Car ran top 6 all day and suddenly got tossed mid pack in the hornets nest. It's just his usual luck

Him stating that he couldn't see and was late turning into his box but then only l saying it's "half his fault" is ridiculous and very on-brand for him. Dude is constantly blaming others these last few years even when it doesn't make any sense to.
 
Chase fans, I think your guy is in a good place? It’s an achievement to make it to the Championship race, once you do anything can happen. I wouldn’t count out the 9 yet

I've said it but 2020>2022. Super fast all of 2020, just bad execution until the end.

This year, clean execution but speed was never really the standout.

Championship is up in the air.

Well I don’t think he’s the favorite, I think the 22 is going to be a problem at Phoenix. But like we see with the MLB Playoffs this year, you gotta make it in first. Then anything then can happen, especially in a one race scenario

I really wasn’t paying attention to the race, lotsa football on today.
Bonehead goes to whoever ran Truex over in the pits.
 
Chase basically says they ran top 5 today by playing defense and keeping track position, and the other guys who got stuck back there with him drove back to the front

Sounds like they didn't really have the speed he needed again.

I'd like to know who else got stuck back there with him cause Byron and Blaney definitely didn't drive back to the front and that's who he was around on the restart. I think they got the car driving comfortably in clean air and once he got mired back in traffic it just didn't drive the same. The only lengthy period of defense I can remember was when he was racing Hamlin for what seemed like 20 laps.
