Seems believable, especially at Pocono. Old Indy, Pocono, and Watkins Glen had a pretty rowdy crowd from what I understand.

It's calmed down a lot. I remember even in the early-mid 90's it was a zoo. The only difference between the Pocono grandstand and a zoo was Pocono had way more animals. Hundred thousand alcoholics frying in the bleachers like bacon. Very tame now by comparison. Not proud of it, but we used to do our share of damage on the beer score. We were young and idiots. Young idiots. I started going again back in '12 and haven't seen anything like the mardi gras it used to be since. It's actually pretty tame compared to any big sports event, certainly NFL or D1 CFB.
