He was out performed by Bowyer in equal equipment. You expect people to believe he suddenly improved that much? Sorry, just don't see it. Even the 78, before Pearn, he was a non factor.

For someone to go from average to beyond elite in one off season in the same equipment? Eh

Byron is gonna be a force before too long. Everyone calling him a bust is quick to forget he had one season a piece in Trucks/Xfinity before being plopped in the 24 car.

Next year will be the breakout I believe. Just like Chase broke through in year 3.

At what point in this did JGR come on to help the team tho? Cause some could say that helped play a factor in him improving as well. You know, actually having a good car.
