They aren't firing Alan. Let's be honest, he's consistently run better than the other HMS cars this year, that's why he's in the points lead. He just hasn't won yet. They've been plenty fast, it's just little **** here and there costing them which won't continue forever.

Why would Mr. H give Chase the worst CC at HMS? Maybe because he's not really the worst. The grass ain't always greener. Cliff Daniels couldn't sniff a win with one of the greatest drivers in history and even after last year they've been completely average this year. Ives is inconsistent as hell with Bowman, and Fugle is fine...but better? I'm frustrated with it all too but I can't see them splitting that team apart, not mid season.

I’d be of the mind that Rick and Jeff go get someone outside of HMS for Chase

They’ve been out to lunch on ovals since they won Phoenix 2020. When Alan does bring a fast car, he effs it up on pit road. I don’t buy the whole “they’ve been fast!” bit. If they were that fast, they would have contended for at least one win in that stretch.

No. It's not about Chase having the worst CC. It's about taking a CC away from him who he clearly is having dwindling chemistry with. It's just a vibe thing, less about results and more about not settling.
