Winner, winner. Love this thinking.Honestly, I don't even care what happens with the "final four" BS. The championship hasn't mattered much since the Winston Cup era, IMO. I'm just here to enjoy the racing and hoping my guys compete for wins. The championship is a cool bonus, but it'll never have the same prestige it once held
My first reaction was to agree with this, but then think about it:DQ both of them and put Larson and Hamlin in at this point

24 had no control of what the other drivers did. It should just come down to Bell riding the wall.Hard disagree here too.
There was manipulation that was going on there too. And a suspicious radio chatter about how the 24 should let the 5 win.
My first reaction was to agree with this, but then think about it:
If you remove the 24 and 20 only to put the 5 and 11 in, then Hendrick and Gibbs still win even after manipulating the race. Just different car numbers in the title hunt for them instead.
What a mess.
Truex had no control over what Bowyer did at Richmond in 2013.24 had no control of what the other drivers did. It should just come down to Bell riding the wall.
Disagree. They were probably terrified that Byron would wreck the hell out of them
That’s the guy who merits a spot along with, say, Tyler Reddick. The two most complete seasons produced by anyone this year have come from them and their respective teams. Is there actually a crazy chance they DQ the 24 and 20 for race manipulation and put the 5 in ?
I agree with this.
Don't think of it like Byron as much as the team and Chevy. The 24 car was the beneficiary of race manipulation. It's nothing against Byron, it's the team.24 had no control of what the other drivers did. It should just come down to Bell riding the wall.

This should be the last nail in the coffin for the elimination format, but Nascar created it for this very reason so we're likely stuck with it for the near future.
Again, what’s the actual rule? Is it no wall riding or no advancing position? He was already in the transfer spot when he got in the fence.
This. Either true season points or the Chase.Manufactures completely manipulated this race. Obviously I’m biased towards Byron. Bring the 10 race format back
This. Either true season points or the Chase.
We’re missing the big picture here. THIS. Byron will be by far the darkest horse with the other three.Hamlin didn't make it, so I'm happy lol
He gained no spots on the wall ride, Bubba backed up before that.24 had no control of what the other drivers did. It should just come down to Bell riding the wall.
I’m old school and prefer Winston Cup points system, but if we have to compromise then Chase it is.I still think the Chase was the best format we ever had.
Y'all are some sickos if you're calling for a double DQ to let Larson in lol.
No, none of these gimmicks are needed for great racing.I still think the Chase was the best format we ever had.
