I find it a little funny they all have cool suits and complain about how hot it is.

Maybe it’s only because you hear about when things go bad, but they also seem to fail at a pretty high rate. Much more often than you would prefer, at least.

Dealing with heat just comes down to proper preparation and fitness. I know all about it as I work on running kilns for a living

My heart hurts saying this, but I gotta take one more swing at this poor horse corpse: maybe Jr was the weak link. I thought Burton needed to go, but this booth and coverage is so many light years ahead of Fox. It feels far less “gerbil” like right now. Maybe it’s that my guy has zero shot and I’m just not invested, I dunno.
Are you denying the Gerbilcaust?

At least that interaction between the 5 and 11 benefited the 5

I think the guys who manage their hydration better than others and don’t opt for the cool suit at least don’t run the risk that it fails and they essentially boil inside the car. The cool suit seems like a great comfort while it works but makes things a lot worse if it stops working properly and just circulates hot water.

I heard one of the teams say they can drain the suit if it fails.

I remember Edwards didn't even run any driver fans

It’s a beautiful 77 degrees here today. Should use this opportunity to wash and clean my car, but it’s not 100% certain the track is gonna get hit by rain, so i’m not sure how long the delay will be.

Man, I feel like they’ve had rough luck this year with weather. Seems like once a month a race is interrupted with precipitation . Today is fine by me, just got home and if it’s Sunday Night NASCAR I’ll be able to watch the rest

So what do the Spotters do when this happens. It depends on the weather , if its like a 1.5 -2 hour cell you possibly could go back to the hauler and cool down, get something to eat etc.. This particular instance I'm not sure its gonna rain for a long time so I would stay up top and go inside the Suite area and more often than not you will get invited in to someones Suite and they will give you free reign on food and drink( yes they will offer alcohol) but of course you decline and then you sit and talk with them and watch the race broadcast and use text messaging to keep up with your crew.
