I think how quickly they get to the end of this stage will factor in. That's when NASCAR imo will make a formal announcement.

Wouldnt just the thought of rain make it rust?, I want to say I recall hearing/reading they rusted on the rail cars in route to the dealerships.
I had a geography prof who insisted his Vega came pre-rusted from the dealer.
A friend of mine had a 427 Vega 
I've been told some stories of older friends who owned them.
Its the reason why they are not daily drivers, but used as drag racers.

This package is god awful at Pocono. Please make this a 750 track. This package made it worse.
They should easily make it to the end unless you there is a wreckfest.

Alright. Saying Kyle Busch is losing out from a lack of practice and is benefiting from having two races at Pocono is like saying Jeff Gordon should be a 7 time champion.
Everyone is missing practice. Kyle is hurting no more than anyone else without it, and is benefiting no more than anyone from this back to back.
Stop making excuses for your champion. They're behind. It happens.

Interesting comments from Jeff saying how sometimes older tires are better here with them running such a hard tire.
I know where there’s a couple of solid, bone-nuts-stock Vegas that have lived outside forever. Dudes won’t sell them.Im pretty sure they would rust out here too
