Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

So now everyone gets out of the car to have an interview instead of in victory lane? When did this become a thing?

2006 Johnson started the season WITHOUT Knaus. Won the 500, followed by a second, and another win. Without Knaus lol
Okay, if you think Knaus didn't have anything to do with the car set up etc still I can't help you. This isn't the place to fight about it so we'll leave it at that.

Look liked MTJ came down and Denny drove in hot
Yep, that one was on MTJ , he came down on Hamlin, Hamlin was going in hot, that was just a racing deal.

Well congrats to Larson. Pissed about what happened, but I'm not surprised anymore, It's NASCAR, but I'll get over it when Truex wins the title :D

He went 14th to 2nd at this race last year in the final 3 laps.
Yea it's pretty awesome to see what he's becoming now, reminds so much of Gordon. Hope he does well the last 10 races

I was responding to another's post. He's as good as anyone out there regardless of equipment or team. That's all.

Well Matt makes it in.

Is nobody going to talk about Jones's horrendus restart? Not even old man Gordon could do that.

Love how all the talk about Chase having to win, yet he's now ahead of like 5 different winners lol

Top 10 is a bit different

Kyle Larson has 1 good season and he's the next Jeff Gordon. MTJ has 3 good seasons and he still isn't that great.
Last year he did well and in 2015/2014 you could see what he was going to become. Plus he's only 24 or 25, still young

Won't ever get the Hate truex gets on here. Still popular as ever at the track. Really the one guy that drove for Jr that never really lost his fans.

A win sure would be nice though. He's living off his early season success, they're clearly behind the curve speed wise. Need to bring it at Chicago, luckily it's one of his better tracks.

I think he's gonna win Chicagoland, he dominated there last year

Heard that Allen said "they hit on something and have made gains on speed"

Well... we're waiting.

might compare years in the series and race experience. Truex without looking wasn't as successfull as Larson is at this point in his career

Another thing in the case of Truex. When he was in a good car in Busch, he won two championships, and wasn't until 2015, he got into a car he could run good consistently with
