Seems they ignored Larry's advice and called it more like charging / blocking. Meaning however they felt like calling it that particular time based on how it impacts the "game".

If Alan had some balls he woulda kept Chase in the lead and they’d be in P1 right now. Instead they opted to pit and put him a lap down, then egregiously pitted too early under yellow and put him at the rear.

Seriously, if I can figure it out on my sofa, it can’t be that difficult.

Alan has like 5 screens and a headset full of professionals in his ear.
