When I first started watching in '95, two tracks blew my mind - Pocono and Watkins Glen. They still do.

That was comical to hear the reaction of the live crowd. It was literally 30 seconds between “hey we can resume normal operations” and “fans be aware of lightning in the area”

It doesn't look like there is much lighting on the radar, or at least that I can see from the few radars that show lightning strikes.

That's the fun of it, drivers get to feel out the track as it dries up. Also, tire management comes into play as the track changes. Finding water to regulate carcass temps, its a lot of fun IMHO.

From what I've seen before, it makes more sense than sticking with side-by-side just for the sake of consistency. Double-file in the rain is a yellow breeder. I want to see racing, not cautions.

Agreed, Kyle and Dale are awesome. DJ might be one of the most underrated broadcasters ever
