I think Road America is in Wisconsin.Road America all the way!!! Down in Austin, good chance it will be warm and dry, and it is the best track in America. Watkins Glenn I think Nascar owns that one would be my second choice, but that far north late in the season? Sonoma bless it's heart is dessert ugly.
yeah I have got those two mixed up every since the built the track..Circuit of the AMERICAS.. Thanks DPI think Road America is in Wisconsin.
np, I couldn't remember the Texas track name. My vote goes to Watkins Glen anyway.yeah I have got those two mixed up every since the built the track..Circuit of the AMERICAS.. Thanks DP

Think we both live near WG, It"s cold here already. Lol
I would love it, but the drivers would probably complain. It rains alot this time of year too.More horsepower to race with!

snow tires! I can see it now. Chad and Jimmy would be caught with a 4 wheel driveThink we both live near WG, It"s cold here already. Lol
There's a solution for that - one that every major racing series except Spitcup has used.
all that is is Nascar's refusal to run in the rain. They ran a N'wide on a road course in the rain. Micky mouse wipers were added. Goodyear brought a good tire for it. The rain became a downpour so they stopped the race and comments were made by the brass that they weren't going to do that anymore. Threw the baby out with the bathwater IMO.I don't understand why they can't have gy come up with a rain tire
yep that is the hammer we fans can use, don't freakin care for all the 1.5's, can't get rid of the talledaga wreckfest, so at least give us a road course in the future. Works for me anyway. Here's the article: http://www.mikemulhern.net/DailyBri...or-the-schedule-try-some-of-this-on-for-size/
Sounds like a lot of speculation, but if Sonoma is ever in the Chase I'll be very happy. There's no excuse not to have a road course in the Chase. There's no excuse not to have a diverse Chase, period. Six 1.5-mile races in the first 26 races and then five in the Chase?
Yeah, sat at the Pirate game Friday night in 40 degree weather. Days are still decent though. Good enough for a race, that's for sure.Think we both live near WG, It"s cold here already. Lol
It's been about 50 degrees all day here in syracuse; it gets beautiful in the fall though, I bet the WG track foliage would look great.Think we both live near WG, It"s cold here already. Lol
Sears point (Sonoma) wouldn't be new.Unfortunately, NASCAR has already said there will be no new venues on the 2014 Sprint Cup Series schedule. NASCAR's schedule, like just about everything else, is boring.
At least the Glen would be green that time of year not dry and yellow. It's been about 50 degrees all day here in syracuse; it gets beautiful in the fall though, I bet the WG track foliage would look great.

They don't have to add, they can move one of the current ones into the chase.I think that's the next step.
I think we'll be seeing a RC soon in the last 10. I'd go for Sonama but Road America would be cool too.
Only problem with that is that NASCAR would have to drop a race of the schedule entirely. Unless they add 1 more race to the schedule making it 37 per.
They already have a race there. Elkhart Lake would be better if they're going to add another road course.np, I couldn't remember the Texas track name. My vote goes to Watkins Glen anyway.

Road America would be new to Cup. NASCAR won't add a road course to the Chase anytime soon. The drivers would complain non-stop if they did.

TMS is making the "biggest announcement since the track opened" on monday. Wondering if their fall date for 2015 got shafted in favor of austin? Well, one can wish.
Although, there are some others with a lot of credibility saying they've heard many of the same things Mike's reporting. Still, I don't see this happening but man, that'd be a good schedule.
maybe nascar's usin reporters ta test tha feedback.? road courses were a hit this yr . ?
