yeah comcast, never head of it around here, thought it was a dish, have two of the relentless dish rip offs around here and rural cable which I have because I can get a people on the phone that are only about 10 miles away..they are much better to work with because of that. despite your obvious not watching speed viewing habits, it has better ratings with all the junk you think it had, than the latest rip off..Hard to advertise Napa car parts, performance tires and fishing and camping equipment on a talking heads sports show when they are selling tennis shoes and bats n balls.

don't watch fs1 much anymore.....cept racin stuff.....tuned in tha other day....wtf dart finals in uk...w/ huge madison sq garden type screamin crowd. ......funny stuff tho. ha!

Fox Sports Live is great. I could do without the sidebar of useless stats though.

sounds like you is tha confused one. ha! where is andy ?

The Dawg's right, it's ESPN's race. SPEED rarely, if ever, covered practice and qualifying for Nationwide standalone races. Last time they frequently did was when the races were on FX or TNT. ESPN used to air qualifying for all those races until they quit caring. :espnsux:

On that note, isn't it kind of sad that an ARCA race is on FOX Sports 1 and the Nationwide race is on ESPNews? I have a feeling there's going to be A LOT of ESPNews in our future next year. I never had that channel - that is until I got DirecTV. There were a few times that MASN aired NASCAR races. MASN is the TV channel the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals own and operate. They usually simulcast ESPNews when there isn't an O's game on.

Unfortunately, NASCAR has already said there will be no new venues on the 2014 Sprint Cup Series schedule. NASCAR's schedule, like just about everything else, is boring.
Uh huh I don't think so, but good try Andy

UPDATE:The 2014 Sprint Cup schedule is being debated behind closed doors, and some quite interesting twists appear on the table at the moment. Just a few weeks ago it looked like NASCAR didn't plan any major, or even minor, changes for 2014. Now, however, word is things have, for some reason, changed. What NASCAR eventually does with next year's Cup calendar seems up for review, with few sacred cows. Don't make any hotel reservations, but here are some possible moves:
-- Homestead might lose its spot as the season finale;
-- Phoenix might gain the final spot on the 2014 tour;
-- Sonoma could earn a spot in the playoffs, adding a California stop to the chase;
-- Road America, that picturesque road course at Elkhart Lake, Wis., an hour north of Milwaukee, could get a slot in the 2014 Cup schedule (even though NASCAR's Brian France earlier this year said he planned no new tracks on the tour next season);

Update from Jayski:
UPDATE: NASCAR'S 2014 Sprint Cup tour is finally starting to take shape, it appears, with Darlington Raceway officially announcing its Southern 500 again on Mother's Day weekend Saturday, May 10th. Atlanta Motor Speedway is also announcing its 2014 Sprint Cup race date, Sunday, August 31. And Texas Motor Speedway appears ready to announce its 2014 Cup dates too this weekend. Track boss Eddie Gossage says he'll reveal his 2014 dates Monday evening.

That's quoting the same Mulhern article this thread was based on, so Andy's point stands. No new information was added.

Sounds like RA is preparing to make a strong bid for a Cup date starting in 2015.

As for NASCAR at Road America, Bruggenthies said the deal for the fifth running of the Nationwide Series in 2014 is all but done and he is confident it again will fall on the third weekend in June.
Bruggenthies has made it no secret he'd like to bring NASCAR's premier division to Road America.
Changes to the Sprint Cup Series are anticipated in 2015 to coincide with a new television contract, but the fact that the 2014 schedule hasn't been announced had led to speculation they could come sooner.
That flared up again last week.
"They like our event. They like Road America," Bruggenthies said. "They're not saying no. Will it be next year? No."
"We're continuing to bring our facility up to a standard for the Cup guys, because, understand, they don't run in the rain, they've got a couple more horsepower and they go a little faster, so what we've done in Turn 1 and Turn 5 with barriers and the fencing are what we're doing at Turn 6 and Turn 8 at the end of this season."
The Sprint Cup Series races twice on road courses, although NASCAR has seen some interest in adding a third, possibly as part of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship shootout. One possibility floated was that Sonoma Raceway in California could move into the Chase, freeing up the Sunday on the weekend Road America typically has Nationwide.
"When and if they go more road racing, we hope to be considered," Bruggenthies said. "There's no guarantees, obviously."

It's interesting to me the way he phrased the improvements needed for Cup cars. Back in June, he said he would make them but he needed a commitment from NASCAR. Now, he told the JS that "We're continuing to bring our facility up to a standard for the Cup guys". Hmmm, does that mean they've begun the necessary improvements?

What channel is Fs2 on Comcast?

I have no idea. I watched the last race for the Grand am series, I streamed it because I don't get FS2.
