"On Saturday, the (2022) race starts at 3PM local time which means 6AM PT / 9AM ET
in the US and Canada, where audiences can look forward to start-to-finish coverage on the MotorTrend TV cable channel." -

Quick, off the tops of your heads, how many of you can tell me what channel to dial for MotorTrend on your cable / satellite? How many of you even have it?
2017 is the most recent race I could find ratings for, and that race was on networks more commonly carried by most subscriber systems:
"The 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race averaged
105,000 viewers across Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 last weekend, down 17% from last year "(126K) and down 18% from 2015 (128K)." -

Hell, a Nationwide race does better than that. Sure, it's going to get huge coverage outside North America. Will those fans know who Elliott or Larson are? If not, why juggle the schedule to benefit two drivers?
