Daytona 500 qualifying

I am not saying that NASCAR gave him the pole, but if we all step back for a minute, and look at NASCAR as whole, and all the things that have happend lets just say in the last few years, its very easy why some people thing that NASCAR may have rigged the pole , lets go back for a minute 365 days ago, and look at what happend when Danica was given, err won the pole for the 500, it put NASCAR smack dab in the media spotlight for that entire week, and NASCAR and Danica was what everyone was talking about, and all teh hype that it created, and that is what NASCAR wants, I mean since King France took over, NASCAR has pretty much lost all of it credibility as a sanctioning body .
I am going to leave you with this, remember what was said last year after Danica got the pole, "you couldn't right a better story", and what better story then after 13 years, the #3 wins the Daytona 500, err, I mean wins the pole

Dillon, however doesn't have that appealing factor other than driving the #3 car and that's not enough to cause a big fuss as say opose to a woman winning a pole to the biggest race.

Dat RCR power. Dillon is a good qualifier but RCR been stout from the get go. Don't mean **** for the race tho..

Sure , I can agree with that, I guess it has more to do with the #3 then the driver.

It doesnt matter where you start, its where you finish that does

Spot on correct and this is why the France mafia (nascar) has little credibility if any. Since they control every aspect of the sport and have no checks they can do as they please and often do. Get ready for a week of pure hype from the media about much of nothing.

There have been a number of occurrences in NASCAR I have had my doubts about over the years, even before Brian took over: Richard Petty winning race #200 with President Reagan in attendance in 1984, Petty almost winning the pole in his last race at Daytona in 1992(Sterling Marlin ruined that one), Kevin Harvick winning in start #3 right after Earnhardt died, Junior winning the next race at Daytona after his dad died, etc. Seems like NASCAR has had an unusually large amount of "too good to be true" moments, and the last two Daytona 500 poles fall into that category too. Now, excuse me while I go adjust my tin foil hat...

It does with Earnhardt fans. Especially the ones that have drifted away from the sport. No bigger fan base than that. If Nascar did give him the pole it was to create headlines, you know the "hey come check out this kid in the 3. See if you like him, maybe you can come back?" type of headlines.

Dont say it !!!!!

Totally disagree...it is even bigger than Danica winning the pole!

Pretty cool how NASCAR rigged that pole position yesterday. Those engineers @ NASCAR must be pretty damn good to make it look so convincing by only winning the pole by .039. Gotta hand it to them. Great job.
Easy to rig a stop watch...;)

Yeah, I'm sure that it because there's no way that the fastest car in preseason testing and one of the fastest cars in 500 testing could sit on the pole for the race. It was most definitely rigged. I mean that's why we all watch it, right. Because we know that it's rigged.

Update: Kyle Busch‘s belief in a conspiracy theory to put the 88 of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 3 of Austin Dillon was half right. Dillon earns the pole, with a surprising effort that puts Martin Truex Jr. on the outside pole. Meanwhile, after sitting atop the speed charts for much of the session, Earnhardt fell to just seventh-fastest in his qualifying effort.

Kyle's been calling BS on NASCAR a lot lately, he better be careful or else he might find himself being docked 100 points for a part that is 0.00000001 milligrams too light.

Kyle is having a tough time with the Chevy's and 16 other cars in front of him..Truex has to be happy as hell to get out of that mess and get a competitive car. They have the best two stories on the front row, Rookie Dillon driving the 3 and Truex booted out of the cheaters camp and into the up and coming Chevy team of furniture row

Yep we want to see who is going to go against the tide and create controversy....just kidding, but like some one else said you can't help but question a lot of these "Convenient", situations that boost Nascar ratings.;)

Plate tracks certainly aren't Toyota's forte, they haven't won a plate race since 2008. As for Truex, I like the guy and hope he has a good season.

Good job by Austin Dillion to get on the pole ;) But a big surprise is Martin Truex Jr. in that Funiture Row Chevy taking 2nd place. Maybe the car has became better over the last couple years when Regan Smith and Kurt Busch drove in it. I say that car could be a consistent top 15 car.

Yeah, Danica on the pole I am sure got more people to watch, but it was out of curiosity, not because they care anything about motorsports. They were gone just as fast. A rookie on the pole who has a real chance to win is a different story to race fans. It opened my eyes, I didn't think he would be there, Truex either.

Well their engines come fro the same shop.

He wound up in 12th, Menard in 10th too. All four of the true RCR cars were in the top twelve then. They're showing a lot of strength so far.
Them and the Fords... 7 in the top 15... weird last year it was all TRD and HMS engines that were fast in single car runs... now its RCR and Roush.... I like it! Hopefully a sign of thing to come :)

Dammit, you gave up our secrets.

Sounds to me like Kyle said "people do believe in conspiracy theories" I never heard him say he believed it. doesnt sound like anything that could get him in much trouble

He knew exactly how to phrase that, so maybe we do have a new Kyle.

Kyle is very clever and careful, he knows that Nascar loves to rough him up given a slight opportunity. Kyle Busch is still Kyle Busch when he gets behind the wheel and thats all that matters too me. He grins that grin when presented with BS from some dumb ass reporter trying to get him to say the wrong thing. There aint nuthin new there maybe just wiser.

And 'wise' isn't new for Kyle???

Dude, where have you been for the past 10 years? :p
