Denny Hamlin Appreciation Thread

He'd have a couple of titles if he could stay out of his own way on the track, on pit road, and inside his own head.
I really think that head stuff is overdone. I really don't care why Denny doesn't have a title, but I find his pursuit to be very interesting. He is arguably at the top of his game....late in his career.

I don't think its him as much as Toyota right now.

Denny has started his career countdown, so he'd wreck his Mom (Tony Stewart) to win a Championship.

Mark Martin is already everyone's favorite Championship-less driver, so it's win at all costs for Denny.

Fair. Give him a car he kind of likes, and he is dangerous. Give him a car he really likes, and there's nobody better.

No hydrants out there in the sticks. 🙁
Not to hijack but...I live less than mile from fire department in small trailer park (13 trailers). Took FD 10 minutes to respond to neighbor in middle of park and even THEN they had to lay nearly 1/2 mile of 6" hose as that was closest hydrant. No tanker.

But we gonna have a Gold Plated Ball room in DC! Priorities.

The pumper trucks ran out of water and had to wait for water trucks to drive out with more water. Took two hours to put out the fire.

Sad news... dang. Glad to hear all the family are safe.
Are they? Has it been confirmed? I saw one person died but no one will say who right now. I hope you’re right, not that it makes it any less tragic if it was someone else.

Terrible news.

I've spent 20 years as a volunteer firefighter for a rural, non-hydrant area, and it's challenging to say the least. Establishing fill sites and just getting enough water trucks is no small task and when you have a structure of that size with the amount of fire they had in it they were really fighting from behind before they even started.

Exactly, at the end of the day someone still lost their life

I have been trying to find out. Now reading the same as you but haven't seen who the 2 people are.
