I agree that Sadlaer will never be more than a top 20 cup driver, but that 'mediocre' rookie is 12th in points, 2 back from Kenseth, 6 back from Hamlin.

He's doing alright, I'll give him that. I don't think he stays there though, if a lot of guys hadn't had stupid luck he'd be a lot farther back. He seems to be running consistently in the top 20 which is great for a rookie. I'd say the only thing he and the other ROTY contenders(if you want to call them that)have in common is an extra set of tires..
 
Sadler and Martin don't really represent what the Fedex brand the way Fedex prefers. They seem to prefer the younger type who can speak to corporate guests with ease.
 
Word is that Aarons nixed it because they had already 'activated' their sponsorship of Martin for those scheduled races.

I think they also have execs, business partners and employees who have made plans to attend races, partly based on getting a meet and greet with MM, not with brian who.
 
The whole deal makes me sad. Hamlin was a clear title contender.


They should throw Bobby Labonte into the #11 for a blast from the past.
 
They should put Logano in the 11 car, and call it the redemption tour.
 
Really nobody is qualified to replace Denny because:
Whoever replaces Denny needs to be an inspired tweeting badass posting some killer emotional diarrhea.
