They cranking out laps. Track won't be nearly as hard on motors as some think. Have to actually close throttle and brake for turns 1 & 3. Be interesting to see if any brake issues tho.

Track looks great. I was a huge skeptic. Surface stayed consistent although not lot of cars on it.

The main thing with that place is will the racing be any good. And how many cars will actually show up for it?

Certainly appears it's basically a new track with same shape. Waaay better surface, 20+ years better track prep, night race so won't dry out so fast. Those are the positives. I'll repeat...scared to death the guardrails will hurt somebody. They DID add some banking though after Moran practiced <at his suggestion> which may help? If they get thru this weekend without any big issues, Braun says track will stay exactly as it is. Likely be a 6-8 race a year track at most. Has 5 year contract. We shall see.

Have to realize, only 3 major teams running the XR Series. I'd expect a few more cars next two nights but not too many. If they get 10 more would be great.
