I thought Pastrana and Johnson were in regardless based on qualifying speed, and the highest finishing other Open car in each Duel got the spot(which looks like Daly now).

I thought that, if Pastrana raced his way in, the next fastest guy in qualifying times gets in. But apparently not.

The two duels couldn't have been more different.
Duel #1 was terrible.
Duel #2 was actually quite entertaining.
