Same thing, just quicker way of saying it.I'm sure what you meant to say is that no manufacturer has approached NASCAR about becoming The Official Electric Pit Gun.

Im talking about what we are doing now, not next yearSpeed is also less relevant when there is only one nut per wheel. Filing the tank may be the time consuming step.
How many tires have you changed at the race track? Every single one I've changed then put a torque wrench on the lug nut moved, every single one.Speed was already thrown out the window when we went to a standard pit gun. If you make everything standard you could send guys over the wall with "standard" 4 way lug wrenches I guess. Now talk about painfully slow

Finally someone nailed it!Speed is also less relevant when there is only one nut per wheel. Filing the tank may be the time consuming step.
Not every tire stop is a full fuel load. Some, at tracks like Darlington might only be 1/2-3/4 of one can. The speed of the tire changers will STILL matter in many circumstances. Finally someone nailed it!
NASCAR can get rid of the mandated guns and even let Gibbs bring back their Million Dollar Babies and it won't matter one iota on a full fuel stop.
Unless they go with one tire changer the fuel can is where the speed of a stop is going to be determined.
Quite true, but many of those less-than-full refills are also 2-tire or no-tire stops. Not every tire stop is a full fuel load. Some, at tracks like Darlington might only be 1/2-3/4 of one can. The speed of the tire changers will STILL matter in many circumstances.
There's no doubt but once some greenie finds a reason to complain about the ill effects of nitrogen being released from the current guns then NASCAR will make the switch to coal powered battery impacts. Not every tire stop is a full fuel load. Some, at tracks like Darlington might only be 1/2-3/4 of one can. The speed of the tire changers will STILL matter in many circumstances.
Part of NASCARS new green deal.Nitrogen is inert.
We seem to enjoy solving problems that don't exist. When does the F1 points system kick in?

Decades ago Paul Harvey reported on a man who had committed suicide this way only in that case it took 8 holes to complete the job. People are insane.Just read about a man that committed suicide with a electric power drill. It was probably a battery pack to make it easy.
Suicide attempts involving power drills - PubMed
A 61-year-old man was found dead next to a power drill soiled with blood and bone dust. A 5 mm circular wound of the forehead corresponded to the size of the drill bit. Subarachnoid haemorrhage was present over the anterior pole of the left frontal lobe with a penetrating injury extending 75 mm...pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
I have been around pneumatic drills all my life. I carried an old bicycle pump around while I was still in diapers and didn't let it go until I was strong enough to hook up a quick connect air-line to the compressor.
During that time I never met anyone that was tempted to use a pneumatic drill for a suicide.
I like the idea of a 4-way lug wrench. No titanium or bearings allowed. While we are at it they should also have to use the screw style jacks that come in an average car at the dealership. Fans want the race cars to look like something they can purchase at a dealership...so why not the pit tools too.
Well, it's not everyday you see Earnhardt in a Petty hat holding a dressed up wiener dog so...
Who's the guy with the dachshund? And who stuffed into that ridiculous get-up? I've had five of them and none would come out from under the bed if I manage to get that rig on.
Isn’t that one of those Martinsville dogs?Well, it's not everyday you see Earnhardt in a Petty hat holding a dressed up wiener dog so...
Maybe that's why they have a unique flavor. Glad I didn't try one when I was there.Isn’t that one of those Martinsville dogs?
They’re prolly a little more moist without the sweater.Maybe that's why they have a unique flavor. Glad I didn't try one when I was there.
