Enough Is Enough Full Season Championship.

It's B.S. the win and you are in. Not only can they de tune cars and slow down drivers, the driver can coast because the pressure is off, or drive like they don't give a sh*t or both lol. IMO it just adds crap to the racing that doesn't need to be there. Every car and driver if possible needs to be as fast as they can be on every race.

Is this word salad? or can somebody decipher this?

He was very intentional with his wording here. NBC’s portion of the schedule went down from 20 points-paying Cup events to 14, losing some of their higher-rated events in Chicago and the Brickyard. The new deal only further concentrates their focus on the playoff, whatever form it may take.

Or crown the guy who wins the most races over the course of the 36 race season.

Tie broken by top 5’s, 10’s.
I think just giving the winner more points can help this happen most of the time. But I still think the champion should not only just be because you win the most, but because you were able to take a bad day and get the most out of it as well. So give the winner more points than they do, make sure no one can get more points. But also reward being consistent.

Eliminations give something for TV to promote, and flashing the live points in the final laps of an elimination race is a powerful draw to retain viewers."
Few things manage to be both more annoying and less relevant than 'Playoff standings as they run now'. Nothing matters until the race is over.

It does nothing but continually show their ignorance about racing. It turns off hard core fans. It's why I turn the sound down or listen to the radio. It's like having a room full of screaming kids in the room. Quite a distraction.

=IF= NASCAR insists on keeping 'Win and You're In', at least go back to a minimum points standing. Returning to minimum of being in the top 20 or 25 in points would eliminate a lot of bottom feeders lucking in. If you can't be in the top 25 after 26 races, you haven't performed at a championship level, regardless of how well you do once you've been segregated from the rest of the field (or many road course wins you have ;) ).

So yet another gimmick on top of a gimmick lol. Eh, nah, not for me.
