Fall/Winter Weather Thread (2014-2015)

Today, 79 degrees and sunny. :) The catch? We arrived in Wekiwa Springs State Park Florida with the RV yesterday evening. We'll be here for five full days until the 26th then go back North to Three Rivers State park for 2 full days then home. :D

Sounds great Johali.
You and your lovely lady have yourselves a wonderful Christmas Johali

I did a search of Wekiwa Springs and it looks great and this campsite sounds perfect......

Some goofy 30 mph gusts here right now because of the temp change. Upper 70's forecasted tomorrow.
*Edit* Ok, I lied. Power just went out for a bit. After further research, winds are steady 30 mph with 55 mph gusts.

Gross, wet and nasty. Barely 43º outside and has been raining all day. If it's this cold, I'd rather it be snowing. Hot beef stew for dinner tonight.

A brisk 72 degrees here, with snow in the background, where it should be.

Nice and warm here. Was 40's yesterday while I changed the upstream O2 sensors on my truck. Today's project was moving the antenna off the chimney and onto the old basketball goal. The "Copper Cactus" is for 2 meter (144-148MHz), 1.25 meter (220-230 MHZ), and 70cm (442-448 MHz). I have a 16-foot dipole coming Friday or Monday for 10 meter operation (28-30 MHz). It will mount to the little horizontal stub.

Still need to work on the junction boxes for the RF routing units. Bought 2, one wont work for what I need, have to get another. Then I can mount them to the pole.

The mast is 1" galvanized pipe with a top 10 foot section and lower/removable 5 foot section. The cactus itself is every bit of 7 feet tall to the base of the lower arm plus the 12" nipple between the lower arm and the Tee. The dipole will be 8 feet on each side. So call it 23 feet tall.

Starting to get some colors here.
Same here.
Our spring was cool and I'd say we are almost a month late weatherwise.
Our Pohutakawa are usually finished flowering well before christmas but they are mostly in full bloom now.
This was taken today.

Close to 60º today. Means it's time to start raking leaves that are all down now. I hate leaves.

Haven't seen the sun in over a week. It snowed last night which brightened things up (the first snow of the season had melted).

Currently 37 degrees here in Sunny So. Cal. BURR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

62* when I got up at 7:30 this morning. 30 minutes later, 55* and dropping fast.
44* right now, howling north wind, no sun whatsoever, light misty rain.

Bah, humbug.

No snow, 38 degrees with 35 mile an hour winds. Rain likely tomorrow with temps dropping. It should be 19 by Tues. I hate winter.

-19 C or -2 F, same cold.

They have a "Extreme cold warning in effect.". I call extreme cold when it gets below -40
At -30 C I don't have to plug the car in to start it.

We have 17* with a 15-17mph wind....which gives us a "feels like" temp of...well, really really cold. Christmas is over. it can warm up any time now.

It warmed up quite a bit here, up to 10 now so we get a little snow.

I probly would...about the bugs or left turn signals......something !! I LOVE to complain.

Mid 70s today, windows are open, I'm outside raking leaves. Bottom's supposed to drop out this week though.
