They blocked off all the turn one and turn four seats, so I asked one of the officials why, and he said that they wanted to bunch everyone up for tv. I figured it was either that, or less of an area to clean before the Sun race.

Yep. They reduce the workforce by closing concessions and restrooms too. I bet some parking lots are gated too.
