fox not on dish anymore

Fox Sports 1 - off here too.

Fighting over rates again. I’ve always survived.

This weekend is all NBCSp and NBC.

Thankfully my local Fox isn’t one of the ones screwed over. Nothing really on FS1 til the Truck race next month. So hopefully it’s fixed by then.

It’s off on Sling also.

Hopefully they aren’t anything on them networks you watch. If your local Fox isn’t owned by Fox it should be okay as mine is owned by Sinclair and it’s still up and going. So I’d check if I was you to see what’s up and not.

I can watch Fox in 19 different states :D

Fox playing hardball by running ads that say ‘DISH dropped Fox’.

Technically that’s not true. DISH would happily show Fox Sports while they dickered but Fox won’t allow it. They just want to see who blinks. DISH had one a couple years ago with another network that lasted five weeks.

Lol Fox also has a toll-free number to tell you which providers carry it so you can switch.

The cable companies do this all the time. I have a good OTA antenna for these times

The blame usually falls on the networks. They usually are trying to jack up their carriage fees and the cable companies don't want to pay more - especially because it often means raising prices on customers.

Remember, you're paying $9/month for ESPN.

Is there any way you can record on the DVR while using the antenna ?

Not that I've experienced. Unless, getting the thingy from DISH to add the channels to their guide, you might be able to do that. I wish I could remember what they called the thing. You pug it into the Hopper and then the antenna goes into the attachment. I didn't want to bother with it so I don't have any first hand experience.

This makes sense. DISH separates the charge so we can see what it is costing us for the local channels.

Dish keeps having issues with some of our local channels, I don't know whether to get an antenna or wait them out. One thing is certain, we aren't going to watch commercials so if we can't record we will do without.

I always have an antenna hooked up, even with YouTube TV.

Live in the mountains = antenna reception is poor / non existent here.
Have 2 ROKU's & HULU Live programming it has the same channels as the Dish programming I watched except no NFL network & no science channel but there are others & I do not miss Shoe Shopping with Jane. HULU Live includes 50 hours of cloud DVR. The DVR dislike is no FF when on commercial. I'll deal with the no FF during commercial thing for the 80.00 / month savings.
Picture is better than Dish, volume varies by channel, 100's of free movies on ROKU.

I see FS1 and FS2 are gone from my lineup. DISH blames Fox. I got no cure for this.

You don't even need the ugly rabbit ears. Digital antennas are available (have been for years) with better picture and usually pick up more channels.

Never needed one, have always depended on my overpriced cable to supply me with local channels

Hulu live tv package is $40, YouTube tv is $50. Fubo is also an option and you can add Mavtv for the few arca races. None of those options have half the channels traditional carriers carry. Personally, my local cable company(midco) hasn’t had a true, channel blackout dispute in nearly 10 years, plus they’re the same price as dish. Seems like these nationwide companies cannot go a month without something being blacked out.
