GORDON"s In

If you consider having your teammate hitting the wall just as you become the lucky dog 'earning it'.

So you don't think there is enough proof of what happened with Joey and David, yet you think there is enough proof that what you keep saying happened? I've yet to hear any radio chatter of any of that with Johnson, Jeff, etc and I'm sure Nascar has listened to it and nothing happened so why bring it up to us?

If Jimmie Johnson were going to cheat for Jeff Gordon, he would have done it the first time he got a lap down.

Jesus christ, Jeff was on the lead lap. PITTING WITH ALL THE OTHER LEADERS.

Except we don't know if he would've made it into the Chase because of what happened, and we never will know because NASCAR doesn't do "do overs". I felt sorry for Jeff, I did, but as my dad used to say, sometimes life just screws you over.

So should Newman have been added since they don't do "do overs" ? I mean we don't know if he would have won that race, he could have crashed right?

No. He is just trying to start **** and rile me up.

Unfortunately it is working.

If NASCRAP would have been consistent in the amount of points they deducted, none of this would have happened. They like Bowyer and wanted him in. So they only gave out 50 point fines. Blatant manipulation of the final (pre-chase standings) points tally is worthy of the same fine they gave MWR in 2007 which was 100 points, and could of been worthy of the 150 point fine they gave Kranufuss in 2000....

Same here.
I knew nascar wasn't going to cross Mr Penske, but I never imagined they'd put Gordon into a 13th spot.

Really? nascar's penality to Mr Penske kept the 2 car out of the chase. Just more help for Jeff, I guess.

Newman wasn't added, he got the spot after the point deduction of Vickers, which I was okay with because that's how the system works.

Keep bringing this up. Jimmie Johnson almost trapping his teammate a lap down, AFTER he already made up 2 laps, is pretty terrible evidence for cheating.
Or it proves they are a hell of a lot smarter than those who got pulled into the principals office. Course some of us uneducated rednecks already knew that. LOL

...it was given to him based on a whole bunch of behind the scenes political crap.

I agree with that, but it was 'a whole bunch of behind the scenes political crap' that kept him out to begin with.
He may not have had a stellar year, but he was in before the trickery at Richmond began in the final laps.

50 points in this system is worth 200 under the old system, because a win used to get you 4X's as many points.

They couldn't cross Penske but they somehow had to appease Hendrick.

Like I said earlier, they were dealing with an irresistable force (Hendrick) and an immovable object (Penske).

Well some take action to right the wrongs that others are responsible for.

No, the guy who lost points to get Newman in was the one guy who didn't do a thing wrong, it wasn't Vickers, and that's the reason Nascar GAVE us for it, it's very likely they did it because in there eyes he was on the way to making the Chase and then all the crap happened so again he was given a do over.

No, he got in when nascar penalized Truex for what Vickers did.

Makes sense, right?

Just please stop bitching about Jeff Gordon and his team/owners.

There is one person we all should be bitching about. Clint Bowyer and his band of cheaters.

Agreed. I actually feel nascar did the right thing, but I do wish they had investigated that lucky yellow that gave him a chance in the first place. Just to be thorough.

Does anyone find these facts a bit odd.

Newman got in because Truex got penalized for what Vickers did.

Gordon got in to compensate for a point that meant nothing.

I bet NASCAR didn't want to knock Logano out of the Chase because Roger Penske would have almost certainly appealed it, then both Logano and Gordon would be in limbo, not knowing whether they're a part of the Chase or not until the appeal is heard.

They just wanted drama to try and bring ratings to the chase, all this was set up by Nascar to start with a few weeks ago and will be the reason next season they expand to a 13 car chase.

No, Jeff was on pit road where he could guarantee his lucky dog position when the timely yellow arrived.

The leaders WERE pitting and didn't get their positions back, as Jeff did.

It sounded like they were taking everything into consideration from the 5 different teams working(directly or indirectly) to keep Gordon out of the chase. During that 7 lap period. Not just Logano and Gilliland.

I know I know I know, JJ nullifies it all anyway because he's a cheater who gets away with everything... Everytime.

why do people keep saying jimmie johnson helped jeff gordon when he brought out the caution?? YOUR CRAZY AND DELUSIONAL IF YOU THINK THIS. think about this if the whole MWR fiasco does not happen and penske makes the deal to pass the FRR car does this even make the news?? NO. This is well within the realm of normal. the jeff gordan incident should be looked at as a separate deal.

Jeff Burton is a nice guy and he's about to lose his ride, they should put him in the chase because if he'd had more breaks in several races he could have been in the top 10.

Now we will all root for Jeff Gordon to win it all just to watch NASCAR squirm. :booya:

Maybe the next time the leader of a race backs off and lets his teammate lead a lap to get the points they'll remember this, It goes to show that 1 point does make the difference. Or maybe if in the middle of the race they swap pit crews because the other team has a faster one. But if its Hendrick doing something I guess it's ok.

lol No, but why add Jeff over a point that didn't keep him out, after failing to do so over the 2 points that did?
