It’s like getting DQed when you’ve already won.
It’s all under wraps but they find what you’ve done.
And the guy in the wall is the loud laughing one.
And who would have thought, configgured?
Tech has a funny way of sneaking up on you.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Joe Gibbs Racing declined to appeal the penalties levied by NASCAR that stripped Denny Hamlin of his Pocono Raceway victory and cost Kyle Busch his runner-up

I hope NASCAR follows their inspection up with significant penalties, fines and docking of points. This would be done as a result of the inspection and alterations knowingly performed, which is different than being DQ’d relative to the race result. The precedent was set earlier this year for cheating with Keslowski. Anything less is grounds for favoritism.

Favoritism, as when they let the 48 car slip by with the adjustable rear window at Daytona.

Scott Miller just said in an interview that they found extra layers of vinyl in the lower portion of the front fascia. Claims they weren't tiped off about it, just happened to find it.

Can't really claim extra layers was an accident lol

This isn't a black helicopter theory.... known fact NASCAR will apply the magnifying glass to those who cheat the system (Chad Knaus on line 1). Wonder if Denny or Kyle win again this season now? 🤔 They're gonna be in the tech spotlight the next few weeks now at least.
Wondering if a whole lot of cars run a bit worse next time out?

Damn, would love to know who the whistle blower was.

Here's a theory, it was KB himself since he didn't win and is out the door anyways!

Based on what is being rumored as the modification, I agree with a regular YouTube host who says this should be a level 3 penalty. Within the rules for an L3 it includes ”COUNTERFEITING OR MODIFYING SINGLE SOURCE NEXTGEN PARTS”.

What is the range on penalty? Massive:

120-180 point deduction.

25-50 playoff point deduction.

No playoff eligibility for driver and/or team owner.

6-race suspension for team member(s) on team roster.

1-2 team event roster positions subject to suspension.

NASCAR could suspend the car number for one race.

$250,000 – $500,000 fine.

You wouldn't put clear vinyl under the wrap unless you were trying to hide something. And you wouldn't do something like adding layers unless it was going to make you faster

"It was discovered"...change in our build process... we apologize for this mistake. What a crock lol.
Interesting read....might not be as fun as drama, but education rarely is. You can read the thread if you like, but spare me a response. I already know what it is...

Surely the preachers soul must be troubled and vexed whilst all the brethren and sisteren at JGR are adorned in sack cloth and ashes making prayers and supplications with great weeping.

They hear the gerbil prophets voices speaking against them after it is well nigh sun down, as they proclaim thou hast lost thine stage points too, every precious one of them mattered, dammit!

So a small piece of vinyl, 1/80" thick, applied to a certain part of the front fascia, actually makes a noticeable difference?

Yeah... these are top tier racing machines where every square inch of the car- inside and out- has 1,000s of eyes on it before it hits the track. JGR making it sound like this was an accident.... hard to believe. Rather they just not release a statement other than that they wouldn't have appealed.

Reading my pos #63 from Bozi...who is blocked by Moody which makes him credible explains this very well.

The cars penalized finished 1-2... and the people who "accidently" put it on have engineering degrees and thousands of hours working on racecars and on simulators...so...yes, probably.
