Not necessarily just Joey but anyone... I think Denny is going to mind his P's and Q's for a while for fear of a career ending wreck. Why would he come back from 6 weeks out with a broken back and just piss the guy off who put him there. Not saying Joey is some bad ass who put Denny in the hospital but if Denny hadn't messed with him he never would have been racing him as hard as he was and Denny probably wouldn't have a broken back right now. Denny knows that. I just don't see him coming back for blood. And if he does, I am confident Joey will return the favour, Denny also knows that.

Honestly I hope it's over, I want them to just race it out. It would be better and both of them would be better for it. But that's not necessarily how it always works. Now Tony the cry baby hair puller is involved lol. I'm not really worried about him though. Maybe for a week he may turn him but overall wont make a difference.

I just for once want a Joey fan to check their driver, and realize that maybe most of the issues are with him. Not all, but a lot of them are. I could understand Joey's side if it was one or two drivers, but they kid has had a run in with a lot of them. Yet Joey fans want to "protect" him and say he is being bullied. If that was the case then what aren't all these veteran drivers bullying other up and coming kids?

I think Denny will be timid for a while yes. Maybe not just around Joey and I don't even think Joey will race him hard unless he does first. No one wants to have to worry about another driver on top of getting to the front to win the race. I just think Denny will not race as hard.. period.. for a bit. Plus I don't like him so I used that to put him down and make Joey look good lol. I don't necessarily believe anything will come of any of this other than Joey becoming a better driver. But that's already happening.

Joey is the young guy..he's the youngest driver in a competitive ride and has been for almost 5 years..... those other guys could cut Joey off or push him around on track and he wouldn't say or do anything because of how young he was and out of respect.. so the race goes on and no one thinks anything of it to mention it so of course it doesn't make news.. But big bad tough guy Tony or Newman or Harvick gets the favour returned because little Joey is tired of doing nothing and they go and have a spaz attack because its Joey and not one of the 41 other guys that would do the same damn thing and it makes front page news because it Harvick or Tony who's pissed. I do believe they're bullies, but I also believe it doesn't matter anymore.

Agreed, no one said it'd be easy, but at the same time no one (even me) expects a 22 year old to be championship material. However, I think (and Im not the only one) he's a champion in the making. He's not going about it the wrong way. Look at the early careers of...well, most big name drivers in NASCAR. They all had there fair share of drama on their way to proving themselves in NASCAR. Why should Joey be any different?

Because the others, mostly, showed at least some kind of greatness in 5 years. They finished better than 16th in their first 4 or 5 years. They at least gave you a glimpse of something besides one Top 10 in 5 races.
I know, I know...but, but, but he's super duper fast and has passed a lot of cars in the middle of a race!!!!!

No negatives???? He's had finishes of 19th, 26th, 12th, 17th, and 3rd. If you get excited over that, you need to get out more. One top 10 finish in 5 races is nothing to brag about. It sure as hell isn't evidence of a good driver either. Get over it.

Denny was interviewed by Marty Smith recently. The interview was on Sports Center today. Denny was quite emotional and seemed to blame Joey for the fact that he has to sit out for awhile.
I think Denny's reaction was a bit disengenuous in that he took no responsibility for the "incident". He mentioned that Joey still gets to go to the track while he has to sit out however many races.
Joey appears to be a bit cavalier in his reaction, but he stated (and I believe him) that he did not want Denny to be hurt - and that he felt that Denny's injuries were unfortunate.
I don't cast blame on either driver. I see it as "one of them rassin' deals".
However... This is far from over.

Totally like the 86 battle between Earnhardt and Waltrip. Watlrip I think goes for the pass, and dale just says no way. Dale wrecks both cars in spectacular fashion.I think it was just hard racing but then Hamlin decides to turn Logano into the outside wall when it looks like the 22 is going to pass him on the inside. At that point the 11 car was already out of shape and if Hamlin had just turned the wheel the other way to save the car instead of left to wreck Logano he might not be out six weeks with a broken back.
