Hamlin's wins at Darlington both encumbered

One day, NASCAR will actually take wins away.
That makes a lot more sense than silly terminology for basically the same thing. It's said that NASCAR wants the fans to know who the winner is when they leave the track on Sunday. This isn't the 70's where we are relying on some sort of publication coming out days after the fact to give us updated news on the sport. We know things instantaneously. Take the win/money/trophy/points/etc... and adjust those 2nd and on back accordingly. I really don't think today's NASCAR fan is going to be confused by this.

JGR is a "Repeat Offender" (Raising Arizona). NASCAR should remove Pious Joe Gibbs and his racing teams from competing further in any NASCAR Series pending a full review of their operations. Team Penske should go through the same process.

Both Hamlin and Logano should be removed from NASCAR competition for the rest of the year.
Their Crew Chiefs on their second cheating penalty should be removed for a full season.
Their Owners should be banned from all NASCAR properties until they have proven their operations and team climate/culture are not conducive to cheating.
Racing is not Cheating -- Cheating is fictional Racing: like Denny Hamlin's incredible comeback -- pure fiction.
Fixing a race by cheating should be handled as a crime by Law Enforcement.
The collection of prize money from cheating should be handled as a crime by Law Enforcement.
RICO statutes should be followed to reveal and punish Organized Corruption.

Had they done that years ago there would never have been a Nascar series and certainly HMS would just be another struggling team.

ummm no

Teams cheating ( they are not really) is what makes this series great. Nascar trying to control every piece on the car is why the fans are leaving.
I disagree. I commend NASCAR for its efforts to keep a level playing field. I have to admit I have a certain admiration for the likes of Smokey Yunick and I expect teams to continue trying things to get an advantage. But if NASCAR lets a team dominate because of it, that will hurt the sport too.

This. Right. Here.....and before the BS, I felt the same way when Joey got cucumbered.....and I am a huge Chad fan.

Denny hamlin will always be nascars fastest driver on pit road

This really only happens in the top three series. Local NASCAR tracks, even the touring mods, NASCAR will take the win away mid-week if the car is found illegal.

Hambone comments on the brand new car of tomorrow and he gets slammed with a fine immediately. Nobody can say a bad word about the crappy looking P.O.S. race car. Now anybody looking can see the cars looking like Buddy Baker's "twisted sisters" going down the race track. The same thing needs to happen like Hamlin's comment. Immediate action, take the top five apart and hope one of the 5 is legal. It is getting ludicrous

All of the teams, front-runners in particular, are "working" in this area. All of them. They do so because if they don't, they can't get through and off the turns as well as those who do.

Not all of the cars are inspected for rear-steer compliance post-race. If they were, there would be penalties handed out every week. On occasion, something binds slightly back there, the housing doesn't "return" enough and somebody (who gets inspected) gets caught out of spec.

This situation can be corrected by the application of penalties much more severe than those currently being handed out.

What is the point of watching races if it turns out later the "winning" cars were seriously cheating?

If this nonsense keeps up, NASCAR is going to look about as credible as Pro bicycle racing.

good point, it's already here in my world, no way of proving it except when for what ever reason Nascar decides to so something about it. Totally hit of miss. Hopefully they wake up in the front office and get somebody that knows something about racing and what is illegal and give them some authority to do something besides a hit or miss encumbered. But like most things there has to be a tipping point. This could be it? one can hope.

Grala never said any of that. Interview starts at 15:48. Cendric's B.S. starts @ 18:30

Hey you are right. Hermies comment about Grala("he expected") when interviewing Cindric is what must have stuck with me.

Non the less - its best to be a close 2nd towards the finish of this race.

you got that right..for sure. Next time Kaz brake checks him going down the straight. Pleads I missed the clutch.:p

wonder what they are going to do when they find them doing the same thing or more in the jackpot B.S?

With all the cucumbers Gibbs now has he could be supplying the salad bar at your favorite restaurant.

Kind of like the joke
as many as they have had, if you turned them inside out they would look like a cucumcupine

Both of these teams aren't appealing, they did it on purpose. Maybe a double secret cucumber is needed. something like a cucumbered helmet/driving suit combination would fit the crime, pit crew too. give them some big green clown shoes and funny green gloves to slow them down a bit during pit stops.

There has been six "encumbered" wins in NASCAR's top three series, and Logano is the only one to pay any kind of penalty for it. The rest were not regulars in their series, or were already locked into the playoffs. Basically, wait until you are locked in to the playoffs, or go into a lower series to see if you can get away with it, then there is no penalty for breaking the rules.

If the vehicle you bring to the race and run in the race isn't to specs then you should be DNQ'ed. It happens at short tracks every weekend there are races across the USA.

If NASCAR hammered the teams with a death penalty then the "cheating" would stop. I'm surprised that the sponsors don't have it in their contract that if the vehicle they sponsor gets a penalty at the level Hamlin's cars got they should be given their funds back. I wouldn't want my brand associated with a "winner" that was actually a cheater. It reflects badly on my Corporation's brand.

Sorry if my post offended anyone. I found it out in the bowels of social media and thought I'd share. I actually like Denny, but I thought it was kind of funny.

Sorry I was reminded by Denny's baby's moma because of the costume she was wearing. The women wore these full length girdles under an outfit like that. It would take a block and tackle to take it off without help. Ah yes the good ol dayso_O

In no way did I find the @ToyYoda post cute but it was funny. IDK who the kid is or who it belongs to but I am sure they don't mind either as it wasn't untoward in any way, IMO.

Denny Hamlin's oldest daughter.

And maybe it's just me, but I don't believe in using kids in anyway to taunt their parents. It's cruel.

Hey I hear ya, but I have faith that her mom will explain it a bit if they even see it. She's a sharp kid. You have little control with what people do or say when you are in the public eye.

I am just wondering what the exact infraction was. If I remember correctly wasn't Joey Logano infraction for rear suspension? Can someone help with this. Thank you

It's actually really easy to stop cheating. If a car is caught cheating, you suspend the entire team for the next race.

Problem solved.
